Your channel made me go for a pilot school, i'll start it in january. Got sick of my boring job, and watching your videos proved me that i was wasting my life not doing what i would love the most, which is flying. So i hope you keep doing these awesome videos.
Nice video Ben, especially like the occasional SkyDemon overlay, it gives a good sense of location that some other TH-camr pilots miss out... (I'm just a map geek really). Sleap's one of my favourite fields.
Nice one Ben. It's interesting seeing how much more of 26L you need to get a loaded PA28 off the deck than the Eurostar does. I haven't been to Sleap yet but hoping to go soon. Hopefully catch you on Sunday.
Plane Old Ben I'm going to get there as soon as I can. Work have changed my shift on Sunday so I won't make it up to Barton now unfortunately. We'll try again next time you visit.
@@PlaneOldBen I agree with this comment, I have a friend who works in the tower, it will apparently cost over £1m, same thing said by my flight instructor too. I wonder if they'll consider it now they've expanded the available hangarage for aircraft. loving the videos!
@@justmejonboy Agreed. I call approach on the AIAA boundary and request penetration and overhead ATZ at that point, informing them when I penetrate and when I leave. Here’s one though - how do you depart Sleap? You’re on the ground, in the MATZ so is it Sleap radio of Shawbury Approach? I’ve looked in Pooleys plates and that sheds no light.

+Rory On Air you should definitely give Sleap a go! Make sure you say hello on Sunday!

Operated a 160 Warrior out of a temp runway of 300M at Fairoaks many years ago, but that was in a brand new aircraft in 1978 and only two up.
Very nice Ben! You used up a quite a bit of the runway there at Barton
+CharlieClass156 cheers Charlie! I was really cautious with the payload to make sure we had enough runway available!
good landing Ben
+Zane Trotter thanks Zane!
very nice footage :)
nice video.
What app is that called on ure ipad
How much of a consideration was wind direction on choice of runway?
Barton should consider building new tarmac runways.
EinkOLED Couldn't agree more. I have heard they might do it!
+peanuts2105 that would be great!

What iPad kneeboarding you use. Thanks
Quick question, as sleap is within Shawbury MATZ is it necessary to ask for a MATZ penetration ?
Also, Shawbury has an AIAA so should you call Shawbury Approach anyway?
@@sixtiethofasecond agreed, but question was is it necessary to ask for a MATZ penetration.

@@sixtiethofasecond in pooleys it says to take off and remain within Sleap ATZ not above 2300ft until contact is established with Shawbury.
@@justmejonboy Ah. That explains. I had a cursory look the other day and it looked gibberish - thanks.
