I grabbed my vortex boost about a month ago and it was on sale on Amazon for $139 and put the boost 4x4 kit in it along with the arrma blx brushless system in it, right now with the 17 tooth that came installed its doing 55,it also came with a 18 and a 20 tooth pinion gear as well
I got my Vorteks boost 4x2 about a month ago and I installed the 4x4 upgrade and Wednesday I bought the ARRMA 3S boost brushless kit . I got everything connected till I had to try ancestral clip the motor to the diff and it would not clip . I ended up taking it to my hobby shop and they are looking after it but I got my 3s lipo zeee battery’s
It should clip but I think u will need a new spur gear with 32 pitch the boost spur gear is a 48 pitch if I’m not mistaken have them look at that for sure..
@@Joercgarage ya the brushless is a at different then the brushed . It’s a whole different setup and the guy at the hobby shop said there is no problem.
I did the exact same thing. But I'm running a 58 spurgear and 15 tooth pinion. The problem I'm having is high temperatures. My temperatures are like a 1008°F for motor and esc. Battery cable starts to get hot. I run a 3660 3300kv with a quick run 120a hobby wing v2 esc. But i'm only running 2s 5200mah battery. This is the only car I ever had run hot.
I just got it for my son. He's 5 yrs old and he loves it. It came with a battery pack, but it gives about 10 minutes run time only. What battery do you recommend for longer run time? Thanks
Definitely a 2s lipo battery it will give you more constant power through the run i would go with a 2s gens ace or spectrum lipo or maybe a cheaper budget lipo from amazon but keep in mind you will need the proper lipo charger for any of those batteries 👍🏻
Great video! In my country it’s cheaper to buy the 2wd version and convert to 4wd and make brushless myself than to buy the already 4wd brushless version. Do you know if the brushless 4wd has any other better components than the 2wd except for electronics?
Nice ugrade are those diff plastic and are they strong iam looking for a boost and then put my own brushless combo in like 4400kv motor on 3s or 3900kv on 4s nice video
Nice , I have one myself and yes it does move really good and pretty stable.
Super impressed how fast and stable this platform is

Great price the vortex is such a good stadium truck I just installed my arrma granite tires on it so it can bash just a little bit better.💪🏻🙌🏻🔥

What's the ancestral clip?
Im new to the basher world...Im looking at the boost kit from Arrma...how fast will the boost kit go
@@cletuskasady5894 if you put the right motor if will go 60 with the speed pinion no problem

can you tell me which spur gear and pinion gear you’re running? 18t pinion? 55t spur?
@@ENDEMIKBEATZ yes 18t pinion and 55 spur
Thanks!! Excellent build

@@DArealCHAZZ that weird it shouldn’t run that hot on 2s with a 15t pinion

A couple of things it has batter receiver remote links aluminum motor mount and a different slipper assembly everything else is the same
how did you get the short one to reach the rear end?
@@prognogg212 are u talking abt the center drive shaft ?
is this the same wheel base as the Granite ? same chassis as the Granite ?
Yes same chassis as granite different shocks. shocks towers and tires it handles way different than the granite the vortex is super quick love it

Yes the diffs are plastics but they can be upgraded to the metal if your planning on running 4s then metal would be the way to go
I might go from brushed to 4s
4s is going to great on this truck it’s so stable easily 70 with the right gearing
What’s the app ?
