Btw to fit a 3s batter better in it i push my battery wire thru the top hole instead of running the plug from the esc into the battery tray, and i just plug it up from up top, makes a fat 3s fit way easier
Thanks. it's a blast now it's just the right amount of power i just need to invest in more bodies, i've just about destroyed the one that came with it landing upside down 😂.
@TexasBasherRC I haven't needed one, also, if you ever want to go with a larger pinion ,(20t or higher) they make a spur gear that's a 55t instead of a 61t that comes stock, I put a 3s BLx in my arrma vortek 4x2 that has the same chassis. Only issue with going higher gear is, that motor hole is tight, so heat will be an issue, I just put my 55t in with my 20t pinion and the motor felt pretty warm to the touch, I need to get a heat gun to make sure I don't over heat it, although I think the esc will cut itself off if it does. Unsure, but it doesn't seem too too hot, I have a 40mm fan on it. I'm a rookie so I made the mistake of not getting the 4x4 for 120 more, so I'm stuck upgrading my 4x2 vortek, it's still ridiculously fast for a 2wd. I don't like bashing I honestly just like speed runs back and forth , I love it. I think mines going 60+ on 3s
I've probably only ran maybe 6 batteries thru it since I went brushless. For a 2wd I still love it my only complaint is the flimsy body after a few good drops on its head from a failed backflip or two and it's already cracked and falling off the rear body post but that's more my fault that the truck I think im going to just get a regular body post kit for it and a stampede body or something.
I stripped out my motor screws too and had to drill the head off to get the motor out, haha. At least the replacement screws Arrma offers doesn't have that jagged back though.
Yea it sucks i see why they did it with the screws so they wouldn't back out but dang. Oh well at least i was able to get it out and its a ripper now. Thanks for watching.
Very cool 👍 love it.what about binding the new receiver?? Vegas Paul here.i got same gorgon, and I appreciate your video.im still nervous about going brushless on these RC cars and trucks.😅
When i did the conversion i just went with a transmitter receiver combo from Jenny RC so i didn't have to bind anything but i have heard if u the the right receiver it will bind to the factory remote so u can keep the one that comes with it.
Nice video! Thinking of buying the Gorgon and make it brushless and use 3s. Been looking at a few motors and think I found some that would work. But I don’t know if they would fit. What measures does the motor need to have and the shaft on the motor? Too bad I can’t link the motors here
Nice man yea i couldn't pass it up the blue one is pretty cheap being it doesn't come with the battery or charger which i had already anyway. The motor i went with was a Reedy 3300KV out of my old drag DR10 i had dont know the measurements but im sure u could find something on the team associated website or next time i tear into it i'll take measurements. Thanks for watching.
Ill have to check i think its a 21 due to the motor i chose i only had 1 pinion that would fit. Since then i have found a spacer they make for the gorgon to space the motor out so the wires dont hit but i have been happy with the way it is so i dont want to tear into it yet.
The link doesn't work but i was able to look it up i feel like that could work being that the wires come straight out the back so it wouldn't interfere.
I like the wheelie bar, the first one.😊
Thanks I agree, it helped a lot.
Very nice, interesting truck, cool video 👍 👍 👍
Thanks for Watching. I like this one as far as a 2wd goes. It could use a little improvement but for now its a good basher.

Good to know. Thanks for watching. I left that gap open when i upgraded it so i should be able to do that also.
Nice upgrades

They make a spacer for the motor
I see that now, I ordered one a while back just haven't installed it yet.

Ok
Its been 5 months
Do you still love it ?
How many Battery packs do you think that you have run through it ?

@TexasBasherRC cool runnins. T.Y.

Looks like stock mt10 motor and esc was used
DR10 actually but they're the same lol I had it laying around and it works well. Thanks for watching.

How many teeth on your pinion gear?

I have found the solution for the motor I don't know if links works here is the reference: YSIDO 3650 3600KV Brushless Motor 60A ESC for 1/10
The link doesn't work but i was able to look it up i feel like that could work being that the wires come straight out the back so it wouldn't interfere.
Dude please put phone down for video editing.😮
