I have bought a lot of China clone knives. I have found that it pays to buy not the cheapest but rather the more expensive ones. You will still pay only about 10% the price of a real one and you will get a really good knife for your money.
the flipper tab that holds the blade in the user position .... on the real one has a groove where the blade passes. The clone does not have that groove / clearance and the top of the blade rubs along that flipper tab every deployment dulling the blade more and more every time The bottom blade will stay sharp because the blade portion does not pass over the rear flipper tab. You have to disassemble and add the groove yourself or deal with a dull top edge : )
The $40 and $50 clones are made better i ve noticed . Pretty good considering . It’s not worth it to get a $200 knife for $50 bit it’s worth it to get a 40 -$60 knife if the original is $400 for curiousity reasons and ended up liking a few of them . Ex the cheap $20 strider clone is nothing like the $60 one . Night and day difference . Same with another bounty hunter I checked out for $20 was crappy compared to the $40 one feels and operates and sounds better .
The knife in theory should preform the same task as the original but with cheap quality comes the question of but for how long? I’ve bought cheap OTFs before and the tolerance for each individual machined component varies as well as the quality of metal used for the springs.
Springs are a big variance I’ve seen also a variety of cheap to decent blade materials … the big test That I do now on my videos is the tip test … cheap metal doesn’t stand up and it’s obvious …however they are all fair for light everyday tasks … you get what you pay for - thanks for watching
One came heavy ! 6 or 7 oz at least . I don’t like to either . Just got it . Giving it to my sister after I sharpen it to a razors edge and put a shine on it . Yeah this one is a no go for me . I seen more expensive ones on DH gate but I really Fido t even like the design . I like the utx 70 better
They are kind of cool - I want a bounty hunter one or when they come out with the Jedi knight ones as clones … never had issues with mine right up to the point my daughter lost it :) it was claimed by my daughter

It doesn’t have the cool microtech screws which sucks . I used it to score some saw lines building shed doors and it worked well on two cuts . I have a benchmade one coming and another otf microtech , the one with the milled clip for $50 shipping inc , maybe $45 can’t remember . The ZT 0456 is really nice if I didn t tell you . Lately it’s been the Kubey , two sun and WE titaniums but these clones are fun and it’s getting expensive so after I get my next batch I ll start saving again 🙄. I ll email
A microtech cypher . Reviews were very positive and it’s BIG but not truudon big but bigger than the 85 which is actually perfect size imo . You miss your pry bar one ?
Yes I ordered two clones of an ultra tech least year that was held up at customs that never arrived ... my money was refunded however there is a degree of risk with DHgate clones but I’ve done 5 orders and 1 was held up at customs
Only if you want a real one - they have some new Star Wars Exocets that have green and blue light saber Blades that are pretty cool that are not fakes yet … Thanks for watching

How bad is the blade play? I have a similar clone coming for work.
In comparison to other cheap knock offs not bad … not perfect but not bad … OTF have a little bit anyways it’s just a part of the deal
@@ArizonaLifestyles1 otf is never solid. Even single action. Between 5 I own, 2 have alot of play, just curious what to semi expect.
