But isn’t Laventon the predecessor to Hop and Leon? Is it possible Laventon brought Copperajah from his home after studying abroad in Hisui to Galar? We know Copperajah isn’t in Hisui either so it’s possible. Pretty ballsy to introduce a metal elephant to Galar but it looks like the pokemon are adapting fine
An interesting reason as to (possibly) why Laventon is Galarian: the Meiji era is when Japan's interest in Hokkaido (the island which is the basis for Sinno/Hisui) skyrocketed. At this same time is when Japan also began wanting to be more like western countries. Japan was really sucking up to Britain more than most. As such they would probably look to a British scholar, like Laventon, with heightened prestige.
