I love the Hunter stock, it's been quite a few years since I put one on my 300 win mag and I think it's absolutely fantastic! Thanks for being so innovative Magpul!
We are actually using this stock in our line of paintball rifles. We are using the Remington long action. We have to do some slight modification to the bedding block and our paintball rifle action drops in perfectly.This rifle shoots a paintball called First Strike . It is capable of 100 yard shots. This rifle mimics real bolt action rifle for the game of paintball. This stock adds to that realism.
I bought the 6.5 creedmoor ruger american already mounted in this stock and have a regular ruger american 308. I love it the magpul stock. I have to buy one for the 308. The adjustable comb and LOP cant be beat. If I ever buy a ruger american again it will be with the magpul stock included. Well worth the extra money.
When i built my 10/22 (around 2015), i dropped it into a Tapco Intrafuse stock. Ive been thinking of changing out the stock, and seriously considered the X22...until i saw what Strike Industries is coming with!
I have a savage 110 ultralite with a proof research carbon barrel, will I have any contact issues with this rifle and barrel. The barrel is pretty large in diameter just curious if it's been done before and if they pair well
As soon as Magpul makes the Hunter stock lighter there will be a cacophony of complaints that it isn't rigid or stiff enough, that it "feels flimsy" or that "the old one felt more substantial" or some other such grousing. If you want a lighter stock, you could always buy something like a HS Precision composite stock, for example, or one of the many other brands making composite rifle stocks. A typical HS Precision stock would be approximately one pound lighter than the Hunter but about twice as expensive. Light, stiff, and strong in the same package means the stock is going to be expensive.

A model for the savage mkii would be cool. Nobody really makes an affordable chassis system for it. I love the hunter on my 10/22

So what model 700 , 300 win mag bull barrel do I need to buy , been trying to figure this out for 3 months

That Mlok nonsense is a huge pita. Unbelievably hard to install. Especially on the hunter stock
