It's not easy to pick up a well known song and make it your own while keeping it recognizable for wider audience. Skål!

Mark my words.... As "Toss a coin..." was Dan's ticket to broad audience, "Burn butcher burn" will or is yours. This was really amazing cover and as huge Dan's fan as I am I must, with unbearably heavy heart, say you have won this one. I am speechless.
Skar's covers are objectively more transformative and "heavy metal". His "Toss a Coin" cover was far more inspired than Vasc's, yet it has only a fraction of the views. People prefer to lap up bland music, it appears. Skar's a bit too heavy for a broad audience :) On a side note - I'm quite sure Skar himself would disagree with this, but I find it insulting to compare a few guitar riffs and some drum beats (i.e. Dan Vasc's covers) to the arrangements that Skar produces. The latter demonstrates actual creative spirit. The former is just putting some heavy sounds behind whatever is popular on the internet that time of year. They're not the same.

Agreed. Dan consistently puts out uninpsiring arrangements - the exact same song just with a guitar and powermetal vocals. He gets so many clicks because of the unchallenging musical style and because he is easy on the eye. Skar takes a song and arranges a lovely homages to metal; with familiar, thematic and clever rhythm guitar and powerful vocals. Absolutely unmatched artwork. This cover in particular is more enjoyable than the series was.
