What an amazing design, I keep wondering how someone figures out how to decide in what way you want to do it and how to manage everything, you have to start somewhere but wow that's just great!
Man I'll let you know it took like a while for me to figure out what I wanted. The original plan was yto never have the space elevator but instead be a truck refueling station. It took a while to decided on this design and move forward with it.
Love the idea of only 1 truck drop off. I have a drop and a pickup for each material and that takes a lot of room. Thanks - looks awesome, but I mostly found this as my main take away. Very Awesome.
Really nice job! I'm kinda struggling with the new materials and how to apply them, but this is a real inspiration for me. It looks soo good! Thanks for showing us around! :)
Your designs and builds all look amazing and function really well! Thank you for providing us with a lot of inspiration! Looks awesome; keep up the great work!
Go ahead, you won't be disappointed! You'll enjoy the game in more ways than you can think of, starting with the fact that you'll have to grind your way to getting coupons to buy the buildables, like the customizer materials, the walls, pillars, foundations and other architectural things. To get those coupons means that you have to build factories to process the ores and sink them in the AWESOME sink. So this is really a game that you have to go in "layers". First you build some spaghetti constructions with the extremely limited resources you have, to get you to unlock basic foundations, then you throw all that down to build a cleaner factory with some base materials, then you progress to unlock more machinery that in turn key you build more parts, and so on. So, you will not be able to build "sushi belt" for example (where you merge multiple parts on a single belt and split them by parts at the other end) until you get the smart splitter. The same goes for many other resources. But that's what make Satisfactory so... satisfactory! Kind of the same as if you play survival Minecraft and can't build with quartz pillars or make comparators until you get to the point that you can go to the Nether to gather quartz, or fly until you defeat the dragon and go get an Elytra... But unlike other games, in Satisfactory, you *have* to build and tear down some "factories" at least once or twice to make it look "really nice" (it's not like you can build something "end-game looking" on the get go). Just an advice, build some quick factories to get you coupons fast, and some basic factories to get you a supply of concrete, iron place, rods, steel beams, quartz crystal and silica, as those are the bulk of what's needed to build the different architectural things (thanks Update 5! Before that, only concrete was needed for pretty much anything, which didn't always made sense, but there weren't much things you could builds compared to Update 5). Of course, you can always "cheat" and install some mods to get you all the things required to make those nice builds you see, fly around, etc. like many content crators do to construct the most amazing builds you can see floating around on TH-cam. But the real fun is doing it without any mods. Yes, you can do all those builds in pure "survival". It just take more time, but that's part of the fun. Remember, like any survival game, your world is only worth the amount of effort you put in it. You can rush trough the tiers, up to "end game", in a single mega-factory. But after that, you'll leave your world with a feeling that you have "nothing more left to do", or you can take more time and do amazing builds, one tier at a time, spreading all over the map, get familiar with all the different biomes (not just rush trough them just to get the hard drives) and then when you reach end game, your world will be "worth" much MUCH more, simply because you'll "spend" much more time on it :-)
This is just incredible! man you must have a brain the size of a planet to be able to think all this up and then put it together... and then have it work so neatly and cleanly!! This is the best hub i've seen!
This is just perfection!! dude!! the drone pots! are just so well integrated with the floor and everything OMGGG, AWESOME! new follow, gonna watch your satisfactory stuff
Enjoying the videos. Nice to see a creator able to make great creative content and explain it thoroughly without going over the top with over exaggerated personality. Great balance of precise explanation and showing the passion behind your content. Earned a subscription my dude.
for those wondering how he did the glass walls with the concrete at the bottom, its one of the more easier things to do. If you pause the video roughly at 5:02 just before he goes through the door to the trucks and space elevator and look at the sides, its quite clear. What you do is place down a full frame window. now while you cannot place a wall on a wall, you CAN place wall ramps on other walls. so after you place the glass window, at the bottom you use both a 1m wall ramp and a 1m inverted wall ramp which when combined make a 1m wall. Hope this helps :)
@@Createin you inspired my son to get back into the game for artistic design. He's young, so the complex calculations are a bit beyond him for the manufacturing aspect. But he LOVED your designs. Thank you!
Nice layout, and good ideas for the truck depot's and storage areas! I especially liked your system for moving items from storage that you need/sending space elevator parts!
Heya, love this build!!! Question please, from the entrance to the hub level (level with trucks going in), how many floors (walls) deep is the whole hub base (where you have storage, sorting rooms, etc) ?
Would love a world download so I can truly appreciate your amazing hub! There are many aspects of this that I would like to build in my world but would like to get a better look around!
I'm currently building a mega factory in grassy plains up north at the void pits. I've put an enormous false bottom in with foundations and have roadways put in. Beneath I'm going to have a train depot as well as a main bus for ores. Each assembly line for each item will be housed in its own tower, with distribution between lines being handled by factory carts that drive the roads between the buildings. My hope is to have something that looks like a functional city with actuall people in it.
If you mean the light that turns on, it's just the flashlight :-) It gives the impression that the light have sharp edges because of the reflection against the angled glass walls. You can the effect that those angled glass wall does by seeing that there are only 7 painted small pillars (the yellow posts, partially clipped through the foundation so they look shorter), but reflection make it so that it seems that there are many more.
I have a question, regarding the big trees. Do you have any issue with the big trees respawning, right next to your main HUB drone port, when you load the game? I've tried to clear the same area, and those trees just come back when I reload the game. Most other trees look fine, and the bushes too. Just those few big trees. If so, it must be a pain to have to clear them each time you load your world, especially for the YT showoffs. Regards, Eric
Ah, I'll answer my own question... I'm watching your live stream (April 11), and you just loaded your world, standing in front of this hub, and the foliage is present (after load)... So it's not just me! I hope CSS take the time to fix this issue. It's not like they look really busy with other features right now (while they finally decide where to go for Update 6, they sure could take some time to fix those age old bugs) :-) In the meantime, I guess it's up to the content creators like you to clean up after CSS to make the showoffs more "satisfactory" for everyone! Great work by the way, really nice build.

@@Createin In my hub, which is a rat's nest compared to yours, I sent all my excess to one Mk V belt, and into a single sink, because I thought each sink always consumed 30 or so MW of power.
