This is the official Diecast Emporium review of the 1:50 scale Diecast Masters Highline Series Caterpillar 336 Next Generation Hydraulic Excavator in the current and newest CAT Trade Dress known as the "Modern Hex." The item number is 85586. The model is identical the first release of the 336 NG with the exception of the new and updated decals.

I actually saw one in person with the rubber tracks. Like a hard plastic over the metal, I’ve only seen that on smaller excavators. Didn’t leave a single mark on the asphalt. The point I haven’t seen this type of track on any diecast models yet. It be nice to see it replicated

The only flaw I have with Diecast Masters is the fact that sometimes you wouldn’t even find the current year’s scale model catalog in the package/tin.

That's because of the time it has been taking the past few years to produce the models and ship them to dealers. Hopefully it will be fixed as the ports and shipping situation for everyone is improving with time. Thanks for watching
