Great review but in my humble opinion it's a 7/10.
I can't help but notice that the two doors/covers on the right side don't even line up and on the left side there are some unsightly gaps along the bottom of the three doors/covers.
The loose stick is very poor.

Thank you for the comment and I agree wholeheartedly with your observation (s). I hope these are among the changes enacted by DM in time for the 395 GP

I added this model a couple of weeks ago to my Cat excavator collection along with the 352 demolition model. They should make the shovel lighter or as you said make the cylinders stiffer to hold the shovel up in various positions. Otherwise, its a great looking model.

Finally decided to buy the 395 ME. The model I got has stiff cylinders which hold up the boom without a problem. The panel doors are not as skew as on your version as well, so I am pretty pleased with the purchase.

Hello again diecast emporium! So I managed to take the bucket off my diecast masters 336 excavators. I had it laying around and i got it for my birthday almost 3 years ago on the 21st of may 2020. I have it off rn but I realized I can like reverse the bucket on the model. Pins won’t reach the other side of the bucket though. But eh it’s alright.

Many thanks for the review and the size comparison...👍 I absolutely love the bucket, but the skew panel doors still prevent me from ordering. Instead of them a removable counterweight would have been a better option. Also I do not understand why the cabin glass is so milky on your version? The tracks are a bit thin as well especially compared to the 390. Hopefully they improve a few things for version 2, boom not holding the weight at least. Currently I have to pass on that model... The one model I would buy in an instant though from DM is a new triple 7 - maybe next year I get my wish 🙏

Is there any solution like a D.I.Y project to keep the arm of the excavator from coming down ?

I believe I mentioned a couple during the course of the video, but you can either switch out the bucket for a 3D printed counterpart which is less weight. Or you can put a dab of glue on the inside of the cylinders but just a little bit

another good review Tommy, but slow down a little, no need to go racing around ! for info. the 395 is just a little smaller in some dimensions than the 390, and as for ram bleed down, I guess i can live with that more than so stiff that you cannot, or DARE NOT force a boom or stick into a pose... I have just got a Liebherr 940 high reach demo, and she slowly lowers her boom, and yet the cat 352 quite happily stays up.. and the 9600 won't budge at all, first world problems eh? stay safe my friend, and keep up the good videos.
