    The dark haired fellow behind Dougal is Brian Fraser. The coat he is wearing, Jamie wears at Lallybroch.

    This is one of the best written and acted episodes of television I’ve ever seen. Tobias Menzies is incredible.
    Also have to say that “We must protect the Claret” is one of the funniest lines in a very serious episode.

      I agree he is amazing! I can't say i've seen him in much else... nothing comes to mind. I'll have to look up what else Tobias has starred in, star being the operative word! Thanks for your comments billbliss

      @@nenyareacts He was phenomenal in the third and fourth series of 'The Crown'!! The whole shot is worth a watch.

    Sam Heughan had a prosthetic on his back. Each time he had to be seen shirtless,it took 2 or 3 hours to put it in the morning and 1 hour at the end to take it of

      Tobias Menzies plays this part far too well :0 I can barely watch, he is both wonderful and terrifying. Thanks for watching Anne (and don't worry post as much as you'd like).

    Claire tends ( frequently) to be her own worst enemy. I keep thinking " shut your mouth !"

    Jamie's father is the dark haired man standing behind Dougal. I have read all 9 books, Seven Stones to Stand or Fall, which contains 7 novellas, Virgins is included in it; Lord John Grey spin-off series. I have the TV show on DVD up to season 6 and have watched it upteen dozen times. I think of the books and the TV series as two separate entities, but I like to see what is included in the show and how they have made it, because since the books are massive it is hard to fit all the stories lines into the series.

      @MultiJeanette1 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes...I too look at both as separate entities. I am half way through Seven Stones and have read most of the John Grey books. I also have the graphic novel.

      @@MultiJeanette1 Have you read A Leaf on the Wind All Hallows, I really liked it, yet? I also have the graphic novel, both making of Outlander books, 2 Outlander Cookbooks, The 2 Outlander Companions, Outlander's Scotland. I think I am a little Outlander obsessed.

    Nice to hear you're reading and enjoying the books. I started reading them after season 3, and have read them about 4 times as on now.
    The show does stick less to them as it goes on, until season 6 and 7, which so fsr have been just as close as the first 2 seasons. Which im loving because book 7 is ome of my favorites of the series.
    Book 5 tends to be a low point in the books, but after than it just gets vetter and better.

    Hi, loving your reactions, trying to catch up so i dont know if you're reading comments from these older eps. You said that you wanted to hear whole story Jamie is telling on their wedding night. He does in the deleted scenes. They used to all be on TH-cam, and maybe they're still up. Also, there's a lot more interesting stuff going on in that stable conversation between Ned and Dougal, Murtagh and Jamie.
    As to which of the books are my favorites it's changed a lot over time. It used to be book 3 because of all of that reunion stuff and Lord John stuff. Then it was book 4 for reasons I can't go into yet because I don't know how far you have read there. But let's just say more reunion stuff. Then it was book 5 for a while and now I think it's book 9. I've read all of the books so many times I've lost count except for the last one I think I've only read 3 times and I've watched the show again and again and lost count there as well. I'm one of the obsessive ones.
    You should definitely read The Scottish Prisoner, one of the Lord John books. It runs parallel with book 3. LJ and Jamie go off on an adventure together which really seals their friendship.
