Great show this week. Back on form. One thing that rarely gets mentioned is how good David's camera work is. He works very well with Andy, Roy, Niall et al and is clearly more than just a German crisp advertiser. Sorry, I meant to say in the original post that we should all be moving away from plastic wads. There is just no reason to shoot them any more as fibre works fine. Why give ammunition (pun intended) to the antis when all we have to do is shoot with a biodegradable wad. I'd love it if we could find a cheaper option than bit-shot instead of lead. Guaranteed, a lead ban is coming and if we can't shoot something else that will be that. Yes, ok, there is steel but I can't shoot steel through my guns.
The only shot I could think of would be copper. On a density scale it sits between steel and lead so should carry velocity down range in theory better than steel. Copper has plenty good mineral properties so could be good shooting over wetlands. I have never heard of any one suffering copper poisoning either. Only down side to it copper is expensive.
Fibre wad is certainly the way to go but I wonder why we don't have the option of paper/card cartridges like there used to be when I was a kid? OK I understand that they're not great in the wet but it would be nice to have a choice.

Great videos as always but unconvinced by the darting of deer. Not only unnecessary stress for the animals for a non-emergency but I have always been told that darting should mean unfit for the food chain- please can you clarify?
