Not planing on becoming a professional dog trainer but your videos are as always very helpful.
Haz you are an inspiration to us beginners. I just passed my BH just by watching your free videos on youtube
Any tips on content for who’s still learning about it? Any book or extra stuff?
Thank You Haz for putting great info out there to help ppl with their dogs.
Definitely a plus in my book of to learn and administer in my journey of becoming very mindful and firm dog handler/trainer
Thanks for this video !! Keep up the very good work !
I am not going to be a dog trainer but I have been watching your videos to help me train my 16month female shepherd. Challenging is the nice way to put it.....she thinks more than she obeys still but is getting better. I bought myself your book, No Nonsense Dog Trainjng. I am looking forward to reading it.
Thank you.
I’m taking your program now. I also do IGP with my 2 Belgian Malinois, but since I have gotten my 3, I have been learning and playing with personal protection training with my IGP 3 dog and Mondioring with my older female. They say Mondioring is the hardest sport, fyi. I really love IGP though and activating both the prey and aggression, and drive channeling. I think PSA is the hardest sport and would love to do that with my next Malinois.
Anyway, I was with you all the way but then you said the thing about switching around to different training programs and I was like “uh oh, that is definitely me’. I’m loving your program now but I have been learning from the best in the industry for the last 9 + years and I admit it is a bit confusing knowing so much and never having enough dogs/clients to work with. But I wouldn’t ever change my journey, it has made me a great dog trainer.
There is another guy in my IGP club who only does your program and he is looking really great with his dogs, just so you know. We love learning from you, thank you Haz🙏🏼
Hey, do you have any recommendations for those that want to go an extra mile on training but can only do online stuff? There’s no igp clubs or anything where I live, even basic training is only for pet dogs which I’m not interested, I want to train my working line gsd to his max potential, also got him from a respectable breeder that choose him for personal protection so I know he have the potential, but the breeder live way too far way (around 5 days driving 😅 otherwise I’d want him some classes for sure)
Your videos are so informative and practical!! Thank you for sharing your wisdom with the rest of us!
I identify haz..I picked up some training courses and always looking around different trainers and I caught myself trying to relearn like you said in the vid..wish I would of found shield k9 earlier great content..
Great video Haz! Thanks for sharing your knowledge, and insight!
I can’t wait! I applied to a school here in the US after spending a day with them and their students. Planning to start next month. I considered a few schools seriously, and picked the best one for me. I’m starting late, so I wanted lots of hands on experience in a wide variety of different services working dogs perform. From police K9’s and S&R dogs, to seizure alert and seeing eye dogs. Maybe I’ll end up doing something totally different, like training retrievers for hunting. I’m excited to learn and see where it takes me.
Always speaking truth 🎯
Awesome content!
Solid as always!! Thanks
Haz is like the Jordan Peterson of Dog Trainers. The Defined Outcomes bullet point alone is invaluable information. I think about the hours I lost training in my early years without this simple bit of forethought..
Thank you
Yo Haz, my Best. Get your Buddy Carson in front of the cam, that introvert :D Best wishes to You and Your family!
Thank you you do a good job explain.
0:56 - You point to a linked video. Looks like somebody forgot to add the link.
Sir i always have anixiety on walking my working line gsd in morning because ge sniff so much and sometimes suddenly stops as he dont want to go more but he wants very short walk of less than 100 metre why this ?
There is something ahead there that the dog is scared of. Check that.
@UjwalSandeep no bro not always at morning he wants to walk more in the same route around 800m to 1 km but in evening he suddenly stop after doing his bussiness. And stand still indicating walk is over ?
You dog knows your insecurity/anxiety and when he stops on your walk he is testing your leadership capabilities.
@StarkK9Academy yes may be how can I overcome this plss give solution to me .
@ what kind of collar do you have on your pup?
Perfect Practice Makes Perfect?
En français svp. Merci
So why did you have a e collar on if he already knows what you want him to do?
