Hi Ramsha, just wanted to confirm if you have come across any case like mine. Basically I lived in UK for six years and moved out to Pakistan last month permanently, I was appointment London embassy as I submitted my application when I was in UK now I am at NVC stage and confused if I should keep the London embassy and go to UK on a visit visa to attend my cr1 interview or transfer it to Islamabad as I am living in Pakistan now. I just need confirmation that I can still take my interview in London then I can apply for UK visit visa.

If you have medical emergencies then you do not have to transfer your case to another embassy but you can just expedite your visa. That will be faster.

@ramsha khan, i dont think DQ has anything to do with the case transfer request but it would be better to transfer case once DQed. Furthermore, if you have a residency card of a country where you want to transfer case then you can need to contact NVC to request case transfer to intended embassy. If you don’t have a residency of intended country and you still wish to transfer case to another embassy then permission from intended embassy is needed through email and if intended embassy accepts the case then NVC would need to be contacted regarding the case transfer and address and local phone number would be needed for intended country as well. Case stays at NVC until interview is scheduled. If NVC status shows case status as ready then it means case is already at embassy, in that case it doesn’t make sense to transfer case when case is almost ready for interview.

As per my limited info, you need a residence in majority cases and its almost mandatory but it’s written in the link attached in this video as well as shared by someone too that there is still some chance of approval of transfer without residence. It does require detail explanation, proper reason, mentioning absence of residence and yea visit visa to travel.
