Mike was the only person in the show that was actually in the game to support his family. But the feds took all of his money, and Walter killed him because he hurt his feelings. Everything Mike did was for nothing, and his family will never get closure. RIP Finger
I love Mike. Walter lies about doing it for his family, getting satisfaction out of his evil and glory. Mike doesn't see glory in his actions, only a future for his family. He's a polar opposite to Walt and I just love him so much.
Walt wanted his family to remember him as a provider to look up to because he only remembers his father as weak, he wanted to do it directly in his own way. He wanted their approval almost as much as he wanted his own, because he was disrespected by his relatives on a regular basis. Breaking Bad's writing is much better than that
@@SernivalIn the start, but his Heisenberg transition indicated that he didn't care about all the rest anymore. The scene with Jesse, "The people we killed, Gail, and the rest." At the start he had reasons but as he was going on, he simply wanted to be a better crime boss than Gustavo. Almost like a caricature villain. Lots of cringy lines with awesome deliveries.
So that's the excuse yall have for loving Mike the hypocritical serial killer who couldve been left the game and lived peacefully but yet still chose to be with gus as if he didn't have millions? Sorry to break it to you but Mike was also doing this for his own rationales and not just for family. Both characters did this for family its just that walt actually loved the lifestyle and his ego more than anyone and thing but nonetheless he still cared for his family and seen the money as theirs. You cannot sit here and act like Mike did all of this solely for family and walt did it solely for the love of the thrill.
I feel for all of us, whenever Mike spoke, everyone listened. I may be making breakfast while watching BB or BCS, but if Mike was talking, I'd pause, drop what I was doing, and just listen. Such a powerful character and this edit highlights exactly that.
Mike just buried himself deeper into his gangster work but justified with this "code" he claims to have, where he'll only kill if he has to or for his family. It's why I love the scene with Papa Varga, where he totally shatters his disillusionment and confirms his transition to being a full-on bad dude in Breaking Bad.
Papa Vargas gave Mike a much needed hard dose of truth. But I do disagree with Papa because they're NOT all the same. Mike had a heart, which is why he was there. Gus, Walt, Hector, etc, they were soulless by a certain point.
@@flightofthebumblebee9529 what's the point of having a heart If you're not going to use it he may care more than Gus but he still helps Gus at every turn and makes sure Gus can stay alive and hurt more people all just for money
@@flightofthebumblebee9529- Actually, Papa Varga didn't, for he said the words in Spanish, which Mike couldn't understand, so Mike never really got the message, at least not fully, but Mike could no doubt see and hear the contempt in Papa Varga's face and voice when the latter uttered those words. My guess as to the reason Papa Varga didnt utter those words in English was probably to avoid the possibe risk of Mike shooting him should Mike not like what was said.
Mike really does deserve his own series. He's such a dimensional character with so much depth. He's one of my favourite characters, even outside of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.
if you think about it BCS was essentially his own series. BCS was shared by both Saul, Kim, and Mike. Without mike Saul wouldn't have been as involved with the Salamanca's, it could've ended entirely with Tuco.

Here I am, just casually enjoying this, going 'wow this is really good, it really captures who Mike is and his whole story', and being quietly impressed, and then then the ending makes my heart jump into my throat and I tear up. Why'd you do me like that?
That overlap between maddy's wife and mike saying "realised haven't thought about it" was so genius observation. Same goes with overlap of stars dailogue between that architect death scene and kelle starwatching😮
The ending of this masterpiece of a video is genius. I interpret it as the idea that no matter who passes away, the stars up in the sky will stay. So perhaps Mike realized at this moment that his regret would be to spend more time with his loved ones instead of focusing too much on getting them money. Perhaps that sometimes, you just want to look at the stars with your granddaughter. He knew at this moment that he wouldn't be able to be visiting Kaylee too much anymore due to the choices he made, but that he'll be watching over her forever, like a star.
THIS IS BEAUTIFUL. It moved me deeply, now that I've finished watching both shows and cannot get over the fact that it's over now. This is one of the best edits I've ever seen.

The most incredibly well put together edit I've seen so far, out of all the ones I've seen my entire life, out of all the various shows and forms of media none has put so much meticulous detail into the audio, clips, dialogue and put them together like this. I'd love to see you make one of my favorite show the Sopranos. Incredible!

its tragic how after all that hes sacrifice for his family. hes the one that truly lost everything hes worked hard to get were he was. and it was all for nothing. his family was screwed over because of walt. its saddening to see someones story end like this..

This is incredible! Sharing with everyone I know. Probably the best edit I’ve ever seen of BB and BCS. I got actual goose bumps during the “stars in New Mexico” part. Thank you for making this
I love Mike he knows he's cold and beyond redemption but the good in his life is what he protects also he knows walts an ego maniac and Jesse is a good kid but a tragic hero definitely
BCS Mike was a good man who tried his hardest to not be the bad guy. BB Mike was a good man accepting he's the bad guy. And even then, he was one of the few characters you route for.
