For all commenting on how he carries the ball, he didn't fumble much in high school. He is coming out of the largest division you can play in high school by the way. NEVER LOST A GAME HE STARTED. He is coming out of the best state for high school football also. You haters are hilarious, and this is coming from someone who actually seen him play in person numerous times. He knocked my high school out of the playoffs 2 years straight. My high school produced Dontre Wilson, Taylor Young, Jalen Mills to name just a few players by the way.

I've been saying since his Junior year in High school which was arguably even better than his senior year that he could go on to win the Heisman if he was on the right team.

I mean if Allen keeps balling and improving this next season he will lock-down the starting QB role for the next 2 years until he declares for the Draft after 2016, then it will be Murray's turn for the next 2. I mean Kyler will still see the field with all the current receivers these next couple seasons, but just in a back-up role in case Allen gets hurt or in blow out games. Actually makes me look forward to our games against Ball State and Nevada just so I can see what Kyler can do in Kyle Field in a few months... Gig'em

As a native of Pittsburgh, I must say we have a lot of legendary players to choose from: Marino, Namath, Bulger, Revis, Fitzgerald etc… However, after living in Fort Lauderdale for 4 years and attending St. Thomas Aquinas games (including the #1 v. #2. game against La Salle (CA)) I must concede that states like FL, CA, and especially Texas, produce truly incredible football players in comparison to Pennsylvania. Regardless, It all makes for great football!

I have been watching the game for a very long time (decades). IMO, he's greatest TXHSFB player in Texas HSFB history. Put him on any team in history and increase your chance of winning by a ton. He was THAT good, folks. Those teams he beat (like Desoto, Dallas Skyline, Euless Trinity, Arlington Martin, Houston Lamar, Spring Westfield, and etc) were no joke. They were huge, fast, and talented. He beat the breaks off of most of them.

Some of the best QBs in college ball have been, and will continue to be, dual threats. Right now Boykin, Prescott, Barrett, Williams (UNC), Watson (Clemson), are all impressive guys in this mold.
Those are the true DUAL threats.

Watson may change because of injury concerns, but when he started and wasn't injured, he ran the ball. He had no less than 11 carries in his 3 straight starts earlier in the season. If you project his carries in those 3 games (vs FSU, UNC, NCST) over 13 games, it would be 164 carries.
JT Barrett is the definition of a dual threat. In less than twelve full games, he had 171 carries, 940 yards and 11 TDs at 5.5 ypc. If you project it over the 15 game season they had, it would be 214 carries, 1177 yards, and 14 TDs.
I'm from allen and I've gotten season tickets for a while now and I've been at all these games. He was so much fun to watch every desoto game was close and I thought we were gonna lose to skyline. An amazing player to watch.

This kid has talent...accurate arm and powerful release. Reminds me of Mike Vick with those quick moves and scrambling. But, that's his problem; he's going to need to learn to stay patient in the pocket because those legs would only take him so far at the next level. Also, I hope he could learn to stop carrying the ball like a loaf of bread...Tyler you have a bright future Good luck!

OLPlatinumHero I've worked out with them both, Kyler's brought mister Manziel to Aledo's indoor to throw last year during Allen's spring break. I'll give you one thing, Johnny's ALOT more muscular like Kyler's still a child next to him in that regard but I'll tell you right now Kyler can throw farther and just as tight a spiral, and the accuracy I'll actually give to Johnny but Kyler's ball has a bit more zip on it.
goinham25 johnny weighs like 212 and kyler is like 180. johnny was like 195 in highschool, of course he would be less agile. johnny arm is a joke compared to NFL qbs. and back then people wanted more ideal height qbs. short qbs today should be thankful theres drew brees, russell wilson and johnny manziel. but i like them both, as texas a&m gets an altered manziel clone.
