Das Innsbrucker Gypsy Jazz Kollektiv Hot Club du Nax entstand während mystischer und endlos durchjamter Nächte im Oktober des Jahres 2015. In namensgebender Bar, dem NAX, wo sonst? Die Musiker Tomas Novak (Violine), Arian Kindl (Gitarre), Lukas Bamesreiter (Gitarre), Flo Hupfauf (Kontrabass) und die wunderbare Isobel Cope (Gesang) bilden gegenwärtig die working band und Kernbesetzung des Kollektivs. Regelmäßig werden hochkarätigste Gastmusiker aus hiesigen wie benachbarten, manchmal aus weit entfernten und bisweilen sogar aus nur noch aus Legenden bekannten Landen gefeatured. In Kooperation mit dem Swingout Innsbruck (Swingtanzszene) ist das Ensemble immer wieder als große Jamband auf glühend heißen Swingparties zu erleben (vgl. Skandalpresse). Jedoch reicht das Spektrum der Auftrittsformen stufenlos vom sagenhaften Heimspiel im NAX über andere Orte des magischen und weltberühmten Innsbrucker Nachtlebens bis zu den unerwartetsten Lokalitäten und schlicht allen Events die für das menschliche Gehirn denkbar sind ohne dass es dabei explodiert.

I’m a cellist a pianist a singer dancer a bass player a train chef and blah blah blah but the greatest thing in the world is the Cher music and food that’s the spirit of life. Outside of this, I don’t know how to do social media and I preferred not to because I can get in trouble on my own. My girls make fun of me but it’s OK. They just say I’m old-school. I played with doc Severinsen Yo-Yo Ma, when I was a kid I went to Suzuki Camp it’s Stevens point in Wisconsin which is just a couple hours from where I grew up in Wisconsin and these names didn’t mean anything to me. They were just people. Now I realize at the age of 50 and they were incredible people and they had a gift and they gave it to me. They wanted me to share it. Just as my grandfather wanted to share it with me. I know I’m babbling. I won’t bother you again. Please continue what all of you are doing so I can share with my children as they absolutely love your style of music and it is inspiring. Thank you thank you thank you
I forgot to mention I played with it’s not Perlman when I was in my early teens. It was him and the Chicago orchestra and the Boston Pops. I had no clue who any of them were. I didn’t care. I was a kid. I just did it because my mom and dad told me too. What a gift. I’m not trying to spout off or name drop. I just want to say thank you and what a gift you have and you give it to us all. You inspire my children and you make me get back into it. That’s enough.
