The audio on this video could have done with a bit of compression!! (or maybe gain but you get the point haha)
A useful video though for anyone who might be thinking of buying this.

cheers for the comment. It was stinking hot outside and I had a ceiling fan on in the room where I was doing the work.
So I had to turn down the gain on the audio recorder so it wasn't too obvious.
Thanks for the feedback though, I'll bump it up a few notches next time :)

Great video, but for the love of god, get your audio level up next time. Every time a commercial breaks in its +20db louder than you are!

Been debating picking one of these up, but I have about as much soldering experience as you.. I couldn't find your follow-up video, did you get it to work? 73 K7ASQ

Hi Andrew, No haven't got it working correctly as yet. Rather than being a item issue, I think it is down to the larger soldering tip I used and not being suitable for the finer work.
I have a friend who has one and swears by it for sota work. I just haven't built up the motivation to pull it apart as yet.
It all works but has no audio output. I've checked the connections but no joy.
When I get around to sorting it I will post a follow up video.
