      Hi Anita,
Many thanks for your message. I'm preparing the materials for a practical course on paper publication. It's a hands-on mentorship program to equip people with skills they need to publish in top journals. I'm also editing the next videos. How are you?

    Hi, Dr, Saeed:
I am Lydia. Thanks for your updating.
I am selecting the targeted journals and preparing for my article in recent days.
Luckily enough, the four tips you mentioned, I also considered. I find one ESCI journal calls for special issue which is related to my research topic. My question is: based on your experience, the accept rate of the special issue is higher or not? However, the Scopus journal in China has not been admitted yet. The requirement of UUM is SCOPUS. Another choice is OA journal, like system, frontiers psychology. They are SSCI journals with high payment. Maybe, firstly, i need to produce my article, check the quality and then decide the right journal.
What is your suggestion for me? Thanks a lot, Dr.

      Hi Lydia,
Let me answer your questions one by one.
It depends on the special issue you are targeting. Some special issues are so competitive that the journal can only accept a limited number of manuscripts. Depending on the journal's marketing campaigns and the editors' network, they may receive a large number of submissions. In this case, it is not very easy to get published. However, in many cases, they may not receive many good quality submissions, giving you a higher chance of acceptance. I suggest you contact the editors of the special issue and ask some questions about it. This way, they will remember you, and it may be helpful later.
I understand that you want to publish to meet the graduation requirements. I recommend publishing in top journals, as it would benefit your future career. Publishing in a special issue of a reputable journal or a journal published by a reputable publisher is also a good idea. However, I'm not a big fan of some of the paid open-access journals. While some of them are good, others seem a bit unreliable. I don't want to name them here. By the way, regarding the two examples you mentioned, "system" and "frontiers psychology," I prefer non-paid journals compared to these two. But if you are under pressure to graduate, why not? You can consider them.

      @@saeedsharif Hi, dr, Saeed:
Thanks for your kind and detailed suggestion. I got your meaning, the two suggestions you mentioned one is writing emails to the editors of the special issue to deepen the impression, and the other one is considering my real condition, if my financial has no problem, i can also try the two journals I mentioned. But all in all, the quality of my article is the most important thing. Maybe when i finish the draft, if you are available, you can give me an assessment. Once again, thanks for your useful suggestions.

salaM Dr. Saeed. i have seen almost all of your lectures related to research. I have learned a lot. Allah bless you. can you please give a lecture about the complete procedure of the research method, and how to start writing a good research paper, kindly explain from which part or chapter the research article should be started and how to lead it to the final stage.

      Salam @zainabid,
Thank you very much for your kind message and for watching the videos. Currently, I am in the process of developing a training and mentorship program that spans 1 to 2 months. The goal of this program is to instruct emerging researchers on how to write a paper and publish it in top-tier journals.
The unique aspect of my approach is that I will be sharing the methods I personally use for writing and publishing papers. These methods differ from what is typically found in research methodology books and courses. For instance, contrary to the common belief that research should commence with research questions or objectives, I advocate a different starting point. Using this approach, it is possible to complete a paper within 2 weeks (an achievement my students and I have accomplished), and subsequently have it published in a reputable journal.
However, my idea is offering it to a limited number of researchers through an application process as it is a mentorship program and I want to maintain a high quality. This selection process is important to ensure the quality of the program. I will also be sharing strategies to increase the likelihood of paper acceptance in this mentorship program.
If you're interested in participating in this journey, please stay connected. I am currently in the process of preparing the course materials and will soon be announcing the call for applications. :)

always use the journal databases subscribed by the university library.
Sc.Direct, Emerald, IEEE and others are very commonly purchased by a university.
However, many private universities in Malaysia do not subscribe them. They provide free journal databases which i suppose that the articles stored are possibly in low quality.

      Hi Anita,
As you mentioned, many universities have subscribed to these reputable databases. However, the reason I created these four criteria is that not all journals in these databases are considered good quality. I want my students to use these criteria as a way to assess the quality of the journals they use for their research. Additionally, not all databases listed by universities are of good quality, so using these criteria will help ensure that the sources they rely on are reliable.
