    1st 😀😊😀 That Magnifier Is Cool Pete Always Wondered How Good They Were Cant Wait To See It In Action 😀 Mounting It To Tip To The Left Is Better Cause Your Brass Wont Be Deflecting Off Your Magnifier and Leaving Marks on It 😊

      Thanks Chris! The Juliet 3X, 4X & 6X comes with the QD mount and it's solid! 3X Micro comes with a non-QD but you can retro fit the QD buying it separate.

    You really need a cantilever mount for the aimpoint. It will prevent the bridge and allow you to mount further forward if needed

      That's probably the direction I'll be going. Trying to work with what I had in this video. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    You could mount the rear offset in front of the magnifier, couldn’t you? I’ve seen ppl mount rear Buis pretty far front on the rail. It might look funny but it still works.

    • @peteregger7928
      @peteregger7928  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, that would work! I would say about 90% is on the receiver rail so I don't think there's an issue? But yeah I could put the rear some where else. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    On my journey for a magnifier set up. I recently got a 1x prism to play with. That Aimpoint 5000 is cool. Are you still using it, and does it have the infinite eye relief of standard red dot? Looks like it's a heavy magnified red dot. Thanks.

      I haven't used the 5000 in a lot of years but it still works great! Yes, the eye relief is still infinite and as far I can tell there are no parallax issues with it. Probably because it's such a low power and fixed. As I've gotten older I developed a little astigmatism but the 5000 still has the best looking dot and is still lighter compared to my newer Aimpoint PRO's. I guess for built in magnification a red dot prism is the way to go for those that have some astigmatism but then there always seems to be very short eye relief. I've always wondered why Aimpoint dropped the magnified red dots as mine works great! Saves a lot of weight and real estate when the rear extender is not installed. The 5000 is much shorter without the rear extender installed and could be easily mounted with a single ring that way. I chose to mount it with two rings. Thanks again Allen!

    Great video! I am currently considering either getting a Juliet 4 or an Eotech g33 to pair with my Eotech red dot. This is really helpful. Any experience with comparing the Juliet 4 with other magnifiers?

      This is my first magnifier. I was on the fence with the Aimpoint 3X but the cheapest I could find was $258 at DSG Arms with my Mil discount and that was just the magnifier. Was still going to need a mount. I couldn't find the Aimpoint anywhere else in stock for less than $300. I didn't run across any heinous reviews for the Sig Sauer and the price included the mount. Thanks for watching!

    I know it would look whack but you could put the offset iron infront of the magnifier

    What’s the update??
    Also how do you zero a Juliet magnifier???
    Thanks,I’m in little Tijuana aka sunrise manner in Vegas.
    Have a good one.

      It works great! The magnifier adjustments are only to get the dot centered and have no effect on the point of aim or impact. The zeroing is still only performed with the scope adjustments. Zero your scope and then adjust the magnifier to center the dot. Parts of Sunrise Manor can be a little rough! Lol!

      There's still a very slight amount but I would say 90% is on the receiver. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    Move the off set to another forward lovation

    • @peteregger7928
      @peteregger7928  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's definitely an option but if I can I try to mount the iron in the rear as far as I can for a longer sight radius and the ocular of the optic ends up at the rear of the charging handle that's optimum for me. Thanks for watching and commenting!
