Love that long glass wall and the long bamboo on the background. The large patio looks so inviting and relaxing. The long glass window and open view all around the kitchen is very scenic, not so closed in and boring like most western kitchens. Feather is a show stopper 😉
Everything looks very beautiful, I really like the natural light it has. I think the idea of putting air conditioning in the bedroom is perfect. Saludos Beautiful 🌺🌼🌸
Patty, your home is so lovely! The view from your bedroom is magical, Wow. I also look the bamboo blowing in the wind, such a soothing sound. Truly a relaxing environment. The casita as well is super cute. And spacious.
Patty, I watched when you toured the raw property and I thought, "Oh, no." You did an absolutely stunning job in transforming it into a dream home - and casita. Colorfully joyful! What an outstanding job design-wise. Alas, your bed is not exclusively your own - but you know that!
@@IngeHBorg I recall that, Inge 😆 People were a bit worried about the house I chose. Thank God it all worked out 🙏 Oh, yes, it’s Feather’s bed. She allows me to stay. 😻
Your kitchen is so inviting. On the living room floor, what kind of floor is it? What are the ceilings made of? Your outdoor living area is awesome. How much was it to build the casita?
@@susangarrard2753 Thanks! The living room floor is concrete, stained different colors. That ceiling is the zinc material that the upstairs concrete floor was poured onto. Originally the whole upstairs floor was plywood sheets and termites devoured it. It’s hard to breakdown only casita costs because it was done at the same time as my house. Some materials went to the casita, some to my house. Some labor split up, etc. the whole thing was around $150k for labor and materials and some furnishings - house and casita.
Absolutely fabulous!
@@stevel6420 thanks 🙌🙌
Looks awesome. I for sure would rent the Casita from you someday.
@@SlickSydney Sounds good. The Airbnb listing is in the video description.
You did an amazing job designing both spaces! Beautiful!

How much you rent the Casita and for how many people.?
Love your house with all the glass walls. ❤
@@mariaolson3034 The glass really makes it feel open. But a LOT to clean!! 😆

P.B.H. wonderful job looks amazing, Wow you did a lot in a year. Amazing JOB! That casita looks so welcoming and relaxing...
@@XX2LFEUSNVET Thanks so much! Now I need to organize the junk room and my closet 🫠
It all looks great, but as a guest in the casita, I'd prefer frosted glass doors on the bathroom for privacy. Gorgeous transformation, though.
@@nicandtris Thanks ☺️ The doors on the bathroom are solid zinc, barn door style. Not see through - I agree, that would be awkward!
Was all of this relative cost to the U. S. Its beautiful. Love the hippie vibe.
@@Soulsevahw Much, much less than it would have been in San Luis Obispo CA where I lived. I guess I’m a hippy at heart ☮️
