@@Mackermanesq She actually organized a meet and greet after a show she did in North Tonawanda New York when she heard that several fans were waiting outside in the cold for her. She told everybody to come right in and get in line and She signed everybody’s albums, CDs, pictures and had a short chat with her. She told me that she was very good friends with the Rolling Stone’s and she said all the press about them being bad boys was a bunch of garbage. She said Mick Jagger was very well educated and when the cameras weren’t on he spoke with a very proper English accent

I'm looking for a Petula Clark performance from a spring 1965 Ed Sullivan Show. She and the Beach Boys, two of my big favorites, were supposed to be on that night. Shortly before the show came on, a thunderstorm started brewing. My mother shut off the window air conditioners as a precaution and told us that if the storm got any worse, we would have to turn off the TV. Ed Sullivan came on and said that the Beach Boys had to cancel due to an illness of group member Brian Wilson. Well, there was still Petula Clark to look forward to. But before she came on, the storm intensified, and my mother turned off the TV.
It was always fun to catch Petula on Ed’s show. Looked here like she was starting to rock the short flip hairdo a few years before Florence Henderson did as Carol Brady. 😎
This performance was part of an "all-comedy night" on the program. Wayne & Shuster performed their "Shakespearean Baseball" sketch; Allen & Rossi did a "Football" routine; Richard Pryor pondered on "Fishing"; Myron Cohen told a few more stories; Manuela Vargas performed a Flamenco dance number with his troupe....and the Berosini Chimps stole the show. 😉
