I use to live there in the late 80's-90's. I did hear Janis lived there for a few months. I went to the local library to find out historical information on the place because there were some disturbing haunting events happening there. In my research I found that people had died there. An old woman fell down the the basement steps and died. I heard a couple was killed there during a robbery in the seventies. Whatever was there hated me singing thats for sure.
She also lived in a duplex in West Campus everyone called the ghetto for some reason. The Austin scene back in 66 was coming alive with bands like 13th Floor Elevators and the drag taken over by the Hippies and radicals.
