Old home week! "Anderson Trucking" - gesh, West Sale Barn - years ago "Short-legs Anderson" drove at the same time as I did, for Dalton Doctor. We created some "road-memories" together. West Sale Barn - Aunts worked in the office, Dad's brother every sale day, out back. I grew up on a farm just down the road a bit from yours - just outside Houghton. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

I watch farm channels from Wiconsin, Iowa , Mn , & Mt .
All are experiencing a thaw ...
Some are concerned that loss of the snow pack so early will effect moisture levels come spring planting...

You might contact Twin Elm Farm. They have a hoop barn in Canada.

Cattle prices have really come up here the past couple weeks. In Canadian dollars there are 600 lb steers bringing $4/lb this week. I’m sending out a liner load or so of backgrounded heifers next week. I’d like to get my handling system under cover too one day. But I think a new equipment shed with a lean to off one side for calving to replace the old barn is in the plans first.

big difference selling cattle, here in the UK. Each animal has to have a 12 number tag, in each ear, 6 numbers for our farm, and a 6 figure unique number for cow.
they have to match the number on pass port, Each animal has its own pass port, that has to move with the animal.
would get a reduction in price, for 'dirty' cows, as in shite and mud.
for hitching on trailers etc, we have pick up hitches, a hook on the tractor hydraulics, ring on machine, we don't have anything that requires a drawpin, all pick up hitches.
enjoy watching you though, keep it up.

It sucks dealing with mud wether working cattle or to feed them. It’s a really messed up winter. Don’t worry we will get snow end of March first part of April during calving season never fails. God bless

Not sure what your like for wind there, I'm up in Alberta and we can get some bad winds, neighbors put up a hoop and it didn't survive long enough to get the first use, I would take a serious look and a wood structure with tin, the way it looks is cattle are gonna be around your facilities for many years to come so you should get good use out of it

Accusteel 360' long calving barn with 60'x60' working facility in one end. Awesome for weather protection and natural light

Awesome video Matty they were fine looking cows and you're calves are looking awesome
Would it be easier to cover you're handling area with a tin roof like a small barn the length of chute and handling area at the back and see how wide you need it After the way you build those windbreaks for the calves it would be an easy project for you and Dane to build
Really enjoyed the video as always looking forward to the next one
    Best wishes from Ireland 🇨🇮
