Pulling these big boys out after 4+ years in storage. Love these speakers especially mid tone is absalutly amazing. Powering the Tannoy's is a Chinese made Music Angel 845 mk3 heavily modified and sounds soft but detailed.

This video is very beautiful I did the same thing with my son he's 6 years old she loves being with me and helping me out at that age I hope he stays helpful and loving forever lol I know wonder about 16 don't steal the car keys and smoke weed hopefully not
Tannoy makes great speakers. Good for you that you are enjoying them. Personally, the esthetics don't cut it for me.

I've tried many speakers USA made and that point source wave seems to me the most realistic soundstage out there . I have two pairs now tannoy studio monitors 8 inch same look as video much smaller and a set of towers blows away jbl klispch and Polk which I have also now running decawar tube zen 341 Yamaha and other amps in a four system set up I even have some Betsey plus from Caintuck baffle boards speakers

You TOUCHED those large Power Tubes with your greasy finger? No... No... You never touch the glass. You use a clean dry cloth or a dry (NO lotion) tissue.

Most audio guys would trade their 4 yr old for a set like that.
How could you get proper sound out of those when your amp is only wired to the two positive terminals (+HF) and (+LF) on the back of your speakers? Don’t you need to plug into the +LF and -LF and then bridge those to the HF terminals (+ to + and - to - )?

Great you got your kid involved with the setup. I'll wager he's budding audiophile in the making. This kid will probably inherit those Tannoys from you and rave about them 30 years from now and demo them on whatever social media exists. Tannoy is known for longevity and timeless sound.

Drinking game. Every time he say's "basically", take a shot. You're gonna be so drunk... Also, I'm betting he had these speakers BEFORE he got married. The old lady wouldn't allow them in her "beautiful home" (LOL), puts them in storage. Has a kid or two with the bitch, now they can't stand each other, get divorced. He moves into this crappy little house, gets his beloved ugly behemoth speakers out of storage (did anyone else notice the roach crawling across the speaker when the box was removed?). Now, time to enjoy his dad-weekend by playing some kind of weird version of "Whiter shade of pale" for his kids. Hilarious. Not picking on you, Vlad. Just guessing at your situation. Go get 'em bro!

Any newbie watching this. Raise your speakers up off the floor. They will sound best with the tweeters at ear level. Also you don't want all that great bass getting muffled by the floor boards.

If they are in good condition i would say 4 -5k is good price. I've had these for over 10yrs and i love them. If you like mid tone voice reproduction, these are amazing.

First one is a native south-american (instrumental) cover of Procul Harum's "A Whiter Shade of Pale". (th-cam.com/video/Mb3iPP-tHdA/w-d-xo.html)
Seconds song must be another similar cover from another song, but it was played for a very short period of time so I could't figure out which it was. Hope this reply is helpful.
