A very good podcast. Mr Bezzina comes over as an intelligent, educated and forward looking entrepreneur. Great to see a Maltese citizen who has managed to be creative and daring, achieving success through sheer hard work and principles. This island cries out for people like him.

@43:46 Matthew forgot to mention that one very good reason why cars on the road are an asset to any government in power is that they're a source of income. I would estimate it to be around 85M in road tax alone, with importation tax and vat revenue from the business surrounding cars. A big negative would be that fuel subsides right now are draining government finances. Probably, moving away from cars would mean we will need to get money from elsewhere to keep up maintaining car infrastructure. Hopefully it won't translate into more construction.
