    Thanks for watching! This guitar is so nice, but it’s not actually for sale. Haha. I love that sound of this thing! Collings makes some amazing guitars!

    Great stuff Shane. I hope Jerry has 1 dusty right handed sunburst Squier Strat with rusty strings in the corner somewhere. Just so any right handed players can get an authentic left hander guitar shopping experience.

      @@intheblues at least you don't have to special order them anymore. My first step up from a Western Auto banger was a 1957 LP TV model. It was ten years used. Played it for years and still have it. Needless to say, it was a righty.

    In my over 3/4 of a Century on this great planet...probably because of the years that dictated me being away from music like I wanted to be, I've never heard of a Collings "anything." Fantastic guitar!!!! By now, you know I have a preference for cleans, but this one did surprise me! Might be your playing, but Damn!!! I really like the cleans you just gave us!!! Thank you and Jerry's Lefty Guitars for the opportunity for you to give us yet another great demo, review, and video!!! Please keep them coming Shane!!!!

    Shane, that is one of the best guitars that you’ve ever reviewed!!! Those mini-humbuckers are incredibly versatile and sound amazing! 🎸🔥🎸🔥🎸🔥

      Definately a top five. Besides the looks being HOT, the pickups are beautifull.

      If you're in the USA he has a link for it too at Sarasota Florida! I might cruise in there and check it out myself.

    Collins has taken the traditional LP shape and made great improvements on the design.

    I seem to remember all your old and ancient videos Shane. Like the speaker swap on the kitchen table in the Blues Jr. Now I am giving a shout out about the one you did with your girl about learning shapes by pulling your fingers up and then placing them down over and over blind to learn the brain memory of the shape. I have done that sucessfully with the C# Minor now. I had the worst time grabbing the ring and middle down a string from the G# chord. I have been doing that then on the A minor and D minor as well. It really works. This Collings 360 Deluxe! is a dope guitar here. The pickups remind me of the 70s ones that Gibson recently re put out. Top O the Morning to Ya. I am grilling chicken and having a cocktail or three playing guitars. I really enjoy your channel. Have not been around much lately on the Ytube and wanted to say boo and hope to catch one or your live shows soon. Hope Dr. Rick is all well, as well. Take Care! Be Safe and Well and all the best to ya.

    I hope you do a video or a touch on it on a live show for a minute about the scratch. Your really getting a good scratch here in parts of that song. Like a good double scratch. I think I miss the timing or delay of it.

    I love my Collings 290 with Lollar P-90s. It's the kind of guitar that stops you from buying a lot of others, so it sort of pays for itself. 😀 It weighs 7lbs 5oz and has that awesome chunky 50s style neck.

    Also the mini humbuckers on that guitar sound great. I've played a 60's style Les Paul with mini humbuckers and they were OK but not inspiring as they are on that guitar!

    Hi Shane. Long time subscriber here since the days of the Peavey Bandit. 🙂. Your playing has definitely matured mate, love it. Great review of a lovely guitar. Quick question about the opening playing if I can please. The ascending double stops from 0.54 I take it you're playing the first string open? Thanks.

    Shane, when you are saying it is light, is it light for an LP or really light? Is it under 3.5 kgs? Under 4?

  • @garystover7129
    @garystover7129 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    So sorry that guitar doesn't actually belong to you, Shane. Used Collings leftys are almost impossible to find and new ones are harder. I'm also a lefty and have three excellent electrics ( Gibson Les Paul Custom Heritage Cherry and my favorite, a Gibson ES 335 Memphis 1959 dot reissue, ebony. I also have an excellent Fender American Standard Stratocaster). I play acoustic almost exclusively and have for a number of years. If you see one advertised for sale on the net chances are if you go go the site offering it it's already been sold. Mine was put up for sale the first of the day I bought it. Collings dealers putting in orders for guitars have an average wait time of 18 months for acoustics and 24 months for electrics. I live in Bangkok now but enjoy checking out what some of our finest dealerships are offering in the way of merchandise. and I love to check out what they have. I do it for the heck of it. And late one night I stumbled upon a place, Lefty Guitars Only, who actually had a lefty Collings D2H on sale for $2,750. It was months old and near mint. Standard price is $4,500. Any other acoustic, even a Santa Cruz, I'd have said "Cool" and gone on. I was wanting a dread anyway and this was a godsend. There was a little red tape, not bad though, and I brought my Collings back from Bangkok International Airport the same that it arrived. Keep your eyes and ears open . You'll get your electric Collings. But grab it as soon as its available or it'll be gone. They don't make many and those they do are treasured not just by the lucky owner but by professional musicians and those who know guitars like you. You'll get your lefty electric Collings. Just keep your eyes open and pounce on it first thing. Just one more thing. Let me give a shout out to the good people at Lefty Guitars Only. Extremely knowedgeable, courteous, and really helpful. You're the best, guys.
