Bought one of these 12 months ago on a whim. Can't believe the quality of it. Probably the best 335 style guitar in the price range available at the moment.
I’ve had the walnut 58 for about a year now, agree with everything said about the guitar, except my neck pickup was set ok. Beautiful guitars, best value out there.
I saw your video hanging out in Delray Beach ⛱️ 😎 welcome to Florida. I know it's not your first time, however I strongly recommend Key West. Clear blue water with 40 to 50 feet visibility to the ocean floor 😮
Thanks man! That clip was from a behind the scenes clip from a guitar search saturdays a while ago! The good news is, I'll be back that way in June or July all being well. Thanks!
Hey Shane, been having an issue with the neck pickup on one of my favorite guitars. After watching this video, tried lowering the pickup height and it worked wonderfully well!!! Thank you! 🎸🔥🎸🔥🎸
Great demo, Shane, of an absolutely gorgeous guitar! I checked the Artist USA website. Not 1 bleeping lefty. (Fume fume fume!) This sucks, especially when they send you their lefties to demo. Serious oversight. Too bad.
Sounds fantastic! Seems like the neck pickup is a bit too higher output and that you had to lower the volume on it a lot. However I always think its better to have too much of something as it'd be more difficult to be adding output.
Great review, the guitar looks to be a great value, but these don't appear to be available in the US. They are not listed on the Artist Guitar US website. 😕
Great review Shane! As a fellow lefty I was hoping you would get around to doing one of these. I have a Gibson ES 345 in Vintage Burst, but for the price something says f’ it, get one of these for playing at mates houses and places where you might rough it a bit, if that makes sense? Anyway, love your vids and keep up the great work, the playing and the quality production, top channel you’ve got here 👍
I've got the Cherry 58 and 58 DLX - Both awesome guitars. But I've been eyeing this one off as well for a while and keep thinking they look stunning, but I really don't need another guitar. The force is strong with this one 😂
Hi Shane, that is a very nice looking and sounding, affordable Semi Hollow. (great playing as usual). I wanted to get a Semi Hollow/Humbucker Guitar. a few years ago and checked these out. But I like Offset body shapes and Maple Fingerboards, so I went the Squier Starcaster route. Though they are a bit more expensive than these, they were/are closer to my Budget than an Epiphone ES335. First I got an Olympic White Affinity version but I was never really happy with it. A bit too muddy for my Jazzmaster attuned ears 😂 So I sold it and got the Classic Vibe Natural colour version, wow what a difference!! It was better in every way, finish, feel, clarity (even thought they are not real Wide range Humbuckers) and very stable tuning wise. It's my go to Guitar when i do occasionally play Blues. Lately I'm exploring some Motown influenced stuff and it's works a treat for that as well. Cheers Pete
Very Cool, Thankyou Shane. Awesome Demo/Review and playing as always. Just love this Guitar. Truly Stunning, sounds killer. I bought an Artist 'Cherry 58' as my '2nd' electric after the totally awesome Artist 'TC59' impressed me so Much. This was a few years ago and not sure if the Walnut was released, (well I didn't see it). I think I would have got the Walnut one as I am a Gretsch fan and this gives me Gretsch Vibes too. But I did "Need" the red 'Cherry58' to do my "Alvin Lee" thing anyway, hahaha. All the Best. Cheers
Just tried the translucent with tremelo The retro tones are pretty retro the split coil is funky it is tidy blues guitar mighty fine I like Black it is Johnny cash thang I like all my Guitars to be Black so this geezer is gettin me a black one I think you can do quite a bit with these things
Nice guitar. No left hand models in the UK, at least last time I checked, only the tele and the bargain strat which i have and love. Do you have any right angle jack cables Shane? It seems to me that a straight jack would stress out the jack socket in time on a top mounted one.
Nice! I have the Harley Benton HB-35 Plus (I really enjoy havin g the extra option of the coil splits for some rhythm stuff sometimes). The Artist seems pretty Sweet!
Very nice!!! Do you know if Artist guitars are labeled under another name in other countries? I'm asking this because nothing shows up under Artist guitars here in Canada, it sponsors "Donner guitars" instead. I previously looked for Harley Benton amps and Monoprice amps kept showing up instead. If taken appart, under the chassis, they got the very same insides. I'm wondering if Donner guitars are from the same manifacturer as the Artist guitars. Just something i suspect. Donner guitars here in Canada is a budget guitar distributor who carries copies of famous guitars and they're lately becoming the best budget guitar copy maker here in Canada.
Hey, I want to ask you, I think artist guitars are marvelous guitars it would seem, but they don't ship to the US? I really wanted to get that Les Paul the LP59 with Stack P90s. That guitar sounds killer, but I can't order it here in New York City. Can anyone offer a suggestion as to where I can get one?
I wonder, is it young new future musicians buying these 'affordable' guitars, or just older people, reminiscing on their lost past? I hear that a lot of vinyl album sales are actually driven by under 25's. So maybe there is still hope for an analogue and live musical future.
And yet again…and yet again Artist Guitars creates a beautiful sounding (and looking) guitar that will not be available in the USA due to Gibsons embargo on “look alike’s” In case you couldn’t bother asking; it seems the first Gibson guitar neck was carved from a certain “Apple Wood” tree, from (you guessed it) the bloody garden of Eden. As the headstock was carved in an “open book” configuration, that biblical reference trademark makes any remote copy of same one of copyright laws seven deadly sins… The public looses but Gibson protects their copyright…so who really looses?
I'm sorry, but I can't say a single good thing about Artist guitars. I've had 5 and sent them all back. This was one of the worst. They must have them set up before sending them out for review. Mine was also much more brown. Like shit brown. Nothing like their photo.
Beautiful guitar. Great price. Unfortunately it is PRC made, who is busy supporting Russia, NK and Iran and also cutting communications cables in European waters. Not to mention taking over water territories they have no claim to. Soon they will start cutting cables to AUS and you can kiss your internet good bye. So, Ask yourself if you will support this product. Its nice to see an AUS run a company to cut out the middlemen and sell direct from factory to consumer. But unfortunately it is from China.
@@HALWASRIGHT sadly, not a lot of choices in the tech device space, but there are a LOT of choices in the guitar world. People can have their opinions on different product spaces!
@@HALWASRIGHT Thank you for the straw man argument by attacking me instead of discussing the point. A more relevant comment would be something like you agree or disagree and state your points. Then I would say something like, it is too bad we have to engage in this forum using computers where some components or the whole thing was made in Gina. Isn't it unfortunate. Maybe you could make a comment like, we don't know that this company is really involved in PRC politics or uses cheap labour. So i don't agree with you that buying a guitar causes an internet cable to get dredged up in europe.....
Because no other countries would ever do such things. Only China, right? Maybe you should do some more research first, before kicking your own teeth down your throat. Have you ever heard of the Fourth Reich? There's a great book by the same name. Very interesting stuff. History books are written by the victorious peoples of war. Keep telling yourself your superior. While trying to shame someone else. Your obviously far smarter than us morons that just buy the best products for the money. Regardless of country of manufacture. I don't own a single guitar made in the States. Am I gonna burn in hell? Tell me wise man of the world.

Beautiful. I bought an Epiphone Studio Dot for $100.00 🇨🇦 in perfect condition. Thanks for the great review
You made that beautiful guitar talk 😮 it sounded grwat!
Thanks, Greg! I hope you're well mate. 🙂
Get BACK in the kitchen Grego! ;oP
Bought one of these 12 months ago on a whim. Can't believe the quality of it. Probably the best 335 style guitar in the price range available at the moment.
The wood grain is beautiful on that thing. Thanks again for creating and sharing!

Great review, Shane! I have one of these and it's amazing clean and with the gain fully cranked 🤘
love the color on that Artist. Unfortunately bought too many guitars this year.
😂😂
Hi Shane, what a sweet versatile guitar with a multitude of available tones on offer. A bargain without even considering the price. Cheers 🎸👍
Great demo…..A p90 version would be awesome in this range too 👍

Sounding great as always Shane! Happy Christmas! ...Lee from Across the Sea
Thanks, Lee - you too mate! All the best.
That dude is sweet.. especially on clean.
Sounds good and I love the color. Reddish walnut is a fantastic addition.
A beautiful and great sounding guitar. As always, your playing brings out the best in all of the guitars you demo!
Always great tones and the value is a huge bonus. Would love to hear it through the Artist Tweedtone 20R.. 👍🇦🇺
Another great guitar from Artist.
The finish looks beautiful! Artist Guitars has another great option for more popular models! Great job Shane!!!😎😎🎸🎸🎸
Sounds awesome Shane, Great playing man .
Great playing Shane! Shout out to you from Barbados! 🇧🇧
Nice playing Shane. 👍
That axe is beautiful Shane! Sounds mint!
Jesus dude, that one day of practice to get your chops back definitely did the trick.
haha thans man. I actually shot this and the rest of the Artist videos before my trip away. I'm still trying to find my flow now haha.
Gorgeous guitar!!! Sounds fantastic too! Great vid Shane! This is a lovely guitar at a great price!!!! 🎸🔥🎸🔥🎸
Kicking in that bridge pickup at 1:25 or so was killing . . . . . great jam Lefty Brother.
Thanks mate!
I love my Cherry 58. Go Artist Guitars!

Yep great guitars. I have a Honeyburst Les Paul from Artist that I love. Great pickups, feels great. Unbelievable value for the money.
Awesome jam. What's this beast weigh for a light guitar?

Would love to see Shane do the Artist Gnosis... don't think you've done that one yet....👍👍

How's the neck? Thin, thick?
Very nice!!!

Did you comment on the weight, Shane? The Gibson ES335, or the ones I had a chance to play, were friggin heavy. Lovely fretboard thought...
damn Shane....you sound really good. your playing...do some jam tracks!!!

Book a trip outside the USA and hand carry it back over the boarder….
Waiting for them to do a 339.
Have you tries J&D luther guitars ? Are they any match for sx ?
I made a DIY ES-335 guitar kit.
8.45 thats the sound in my head!
Being a lefty I of corse had to click. Now I wish I wasn't in the US so I could get one of these. 😢
If they did this in a proper brown stain walnut I’d be all over this!
I wonder, is it young new future musicians buying these 'affordable' guitars, or just older people, reminiscing on their lost past?
I hear that a lot of vinyl album sales are actually driven by under 25's. So maybe there is still hope for an analogue and live musical future.
Even the 'crap' guitars are great these days. I've bought some NU-X stuff from Artist over the years - always great to deal with.
Been listening to Zep lately?
269 GBP with hard case! Not bad!
Pro tip: get a pro to change the pick-ups on a 335. I will never recover from my attempt!
👍🏻👍🏻
If only it was 339 size!
Hang on! Where’s the “Gibson killer” click bait that usually accompanies these sort of reviews 😂

They don't deliver or sell to the EU
Give the politics a rest. Some of Artist guitars are made in Indonesia. I had the black version of this guitar and it was great.
Artist is cheating here, that guy could make a sausage sound good.

The biggest sign that a 335 is cheap is the position of the F holes. This one, like all cheap ones is too far from the edge of the body
