I am sick of looking at ya. Your videos are some of the best in any tech genre on the net. I have spent too many hours watching and learning. If I don't get a Covid clot from sitting and watching, well then I will resume in the morning. Thanks!
Thank you very much for having such an awesome tutorial. It was concise and very explanatory. I'm sure this will help me when I do my podcast and live streaming. 🙏💥💥💥💥💥
Really interesting setup. Could you not use the insert channels, with the plug half inserted, and connect them into a secondary USB audio interface to give you more multitrack capabilities? Just a thought.
Great video this is what I’ll be upgrading to tomorrow I had a Behringer Q1202 it worked great for 2 years as my first mixer but this one looks juicy and perfect for my podcast and possibly recording some vocals and guitar.
Awesome walkthrough. Just got this mixer a few months ago and have been using it for my own podcast. Any chance you could walkthrough managing master levels when talking simultaneously with guests and music, or having FX turned on. Usually notice a decent amount of master level gain
QUESTION🤔❓ Why didn't you use a 3.5mm male to male stereo cable into the 1/8 line in channel on the Mackie board 9/10? Is there an advantage of using the 1/8 TRS to 1/4 Y-Cable instead?
I'm trying to get OBS to work with this mixer, or vice-versa and I'm having a heck of a time. I can't get it to work. my Behringer 1820 interface worked GREAT, BUT now I'm not able to get ANY audio into OBS, and I'm so confused. Are there or IS there a video where you guys cover this? Cheers.
So, I want to do all of those things in this video but there is one more thing i want to do. and that is play a keyboard controlling Kontakt so that virtual instruments mix with my voice on zoom. I cannot figure out how to do it so there is lots of volume. Thanks
@@maxcmax5211 We are working on a video, hopefully coming out on Monday. But the Zoom Podtrak ( currentprice.io/podtrak_p8 ) or Rodecaster Pro ( currentprice.io/rodecaster_p )
HI KETTNER, I BOUGHT 2 SETS OF 3.5mm 1/8" TRS to Dual 6.35mm 1/4" Y-Cable Splitter Cable ONE I PUT ON MY PHONE TOGETHER WITH Headset Adapter for Mix Minus & Phone Interviews, NEXT I PUT THE OTHER SET OF 3.5mm 1/8" TRS to Dual 6.35mm 1/4" Y-Cable Splitter Cable TO MY MACBOOK AIR BUT ITS NOT GOING IN MY RECORD BUT I COULD HEAR THE SOUND BUT NOT RECORDING HOPE I CAN KNOW IF I NEED TRRS OR TS ONLY TO FIT ON MY MACBOOK AIR.
Hello I have have question regarding the Phone guest / fx send setup you showed. Will the phone guest hear two channels? is the fx send of the profx10v3 stereo, since it uses a TRS PLUG I figure it does send stereo? Thanks in advance.
Hey, I saw your videos on TH-cam and was wondering if you could help me? I live stream on an app called Kik and I use the Mackie proFX6V3, and it works great for me. I am wondering if there is a way I can hear people talking to me through my headphones. Whenever I have someone get in my box, I have to put my blue tooth headphones in. I am live streaming through my phone. If there is any suggestions please let me know
What kind of adapter would I need if I was setting up a Skype/zoom call with my guest I want my guest to be able to hear music/sound effects I play from my iPad
I have a problem with the mixer. Whenever I record something using this mixer, the volume is so low and I can’t even hear the recording. What I can do about that?
@@kettnercreative You did a great job explaining and setting up that mix-minus on the Mackie Pro FX 10v3. I have an old Mackie 802vlz3 and I set up my next minus using an iRig adapter. However, I like your setup better! I was hoping someone would review and demonstrate the Mackie Onyx 8, but I found out recently when I talked to a Mackie tech that the new onyx8 mixer will not be released until summer of 2021. I've fallen in love with the new Mackie Onyx Series and haven't even seen it work yet. You can do true multi-track recording (not just two mic channels).
Excellent content, thanks for a great channel! The only question I have is does the iPhone work with this connection to bring the caller into the mix, as well as play audio "from" the phone at the same time? So you have a live call, and can still stream audio from your phone? Thanks so much!
I don't think so. It's so modular and depends on exactly what you're doing. How would you suggest running a keyboard to the Mackie ProFx10v3? Mainly to record to an HP laptop. I guess my question is, does the sound board work as an audio interface?
I'm I have this mixer I just basically want to record a song and send it to maybe a person or post it on TH-cam or send it email how do I do that thank you
Can’t use USB in? Has to be a mix minus? And just record on a digital recorder from main out? Instead of using an entire computer just to record audio?
Question for you (or any Mackoid who can help me): I'm in the market to buy the ProFX12v3 Mixer. I currently have an old Mackie 802VLZ3 mixer that has MUTE button/Alt 3/4 on all the channels and a CONTROL ROOM SOURCE MATRIX that allows you to route Main Mix, Alt 3/4 & Tape to Control Room/Submix Knob. It's a nifty feature that I'm not sure how to replicate with the ProFX12v3. QUESTION: Can the ProFX12v3 Mixer replicate those CONTROL ROOM SOURCE MATRIX functions and then some?
Ideally could I run a 4 man podcast with this ease? Love if you happened to have email or some kind of social media to get in contact about useful info.

nice... I wonder, have you setup mackie profx12v3 to receive pohone calls?
Yeah, you can setup a mix minus on it for phone calls.

Can you bypass the Onyx preamps on Mackie profx10v3?
How about a show on Mackie mixer for streaming as well as pa at the same time? Thanks!

Yes, you can. The only difference is that the computer can't record 4 Mics at the same time. You will just be able to record the complete mix.
