Melanie, I support you all the way girl! Thank you for sharing such a personal thing with us. This is such a personal choice that no one has the right to say you shouldn't do what you want to do. I have never had a large chest until I had my boys and when I BF them for a whole year. I was only up to a C,but for me it was a lot. I can't even imagine how you feel always having had a large chest. Do what you feel is right for you girl and what you know will make you feel more comfortable! Xo

Thank you. You are so sweet. This actually was 14 years ago, so definitely in the past. I'm super healthy for an almost 52 year old. Sounds to me like you r giving it a lot of thought & not jumping into it like I did without enough knowledge. I don't share about this often, but do when I think it might help others. Bottom line after everything is done and said, I would do it over again. Just a bit differently. I really look forward to hearing about your journey & supporting you thru it.XO

Yes, absolutely. My baby was only 5 months old. I shouldn't have even considered it until she was at least a year. Also I had a huge amount of tummy to remove. 7 1/2 pounds of skin. I went from a size 12-14 to a 3. With that amount of skin removed the chances for necrosis are much higher. I wasn't aware of that & now would have a serious conversation with my surgeon about that, symptoms, etc. There's a lot to my story, but the initial debreeding my surgeon did I should have been put out.

I also have been contemplating a breast reduction. I am 30, a F cup, and am waiting to make sure I am 100% not having any kids because breast feeding is also important to me. That being said I am happy for you and really hope you decide to share your journey.

Personally girl I think you look bomb! But I totally understand feeling uncomfortable! I lost 40 lbs since college and I felt like a whole new person. After 2 babies though some has snuck back and I'm not 100% "comfortable" again. My friend had a breast reduction and she loved it!!! I 100 % support you in all you do girl!!! Love and kisses!!

I had an extended tt and lift after having my 4th child. My aftermath was horrific and your surgeon is right. There is nothing you can do about the muscles that are pulled apart and hanging skin. I would suggest research and more research. I actually had major complications from my tt and almost died from it. HOWEVER, I was incapacitated with my hanging skin. If I had done more research I don't believe I would have had any complications. I would do it again. It was life changing.

Just in case you are curious, the friend of mine that had it done had the hard time because her body didn't work well with the stitches. She leaked blood from them for about 6 months after the surgery... I would have to tell her to go to the bathroom because she would have blood on her shirt and not even know it.

The Doc said that she would try as much as possible to get me to a size close to what I want but she does not go by bra sizes. That was a bit of a bummer to hear but my overall hope it to get as small as she can get me. So I really have no idea of what the ultimate size would be. And I for sure won't be wearing Target bras on a daily basis :) I just think it would be nice to have an option :) I can't even imagine what the is like. Sounds amazing!

I TOTALLY agree with you on EVERY point about wanting to have positive self perception. I have the same exact issues with my chest, and have done since I was thirteen. After my son I went up from a triple d to an H, and they seem exponentially bigger now. I'm gonna get the exact same thing done. And I salute you honey, Rock on. I hope that my results will be exemplary.

We tried with the insurance. Because of my height and weight my doctor said that she would have to take more than half, the equivalent of 550 cc implants. She thought it would be too much. I was bummed. But it is 1000% worth it for me to pay for it out pocket.

He did the first procedure without even a sedative. Also I had bleeding issues which they swept under the carpet until it was almost too late. I would have done more investigating of my surgeon and for sure had gone to a different place.

I can't imagine that they can bring you all the way down to a C. That's what I wanted-remember that after surgery, I exercised & lost 15 and I never went down to a C. If you want to take care of your Post op breasts & keep them perky-I suggest not buying Target bras. Boobs are heavy so it's worth the investment to go somewhere like Victoria's Secret or nicer:) After the swelling goes down, remember to get fitted properly, too. My dr said some ppl regret augmentations no one regrets reductions:)

I know the feeling of growing early. I just hope and pray my daughter doesn't get that. I still hate it after 3 kids thank God didn't grow too much but it's just soooo uncomfortable. No one would understand it only who has gone thru it. Losing weight doesn't fix everything. :(

  • @lmmbchampion
    @lmmbchampion 11 ปีที่แล้ว

I'm shocked that insur won't cover reduction because in your case-it is medically necessary. My friend had hers done by the same doctor (we went to a doctor in LA who actually works on a lot of celebs, one of the nurses said that you see a celeb claiming in a mag that they haven't had any work done but that they were just in their office, LOL) Anyway, you will still be larger than you want to be for maybe close to a year (swelling) I'm not a 34D. Continue.....

I know it is, I understand everything you are saying. I can totally relate esp. the part about the older men looking and mentally acting nasty when looking at you. God I hated that being 16 and being looked at like a piece of meat.. ugh.. I had the surgery and have a lot of regrets about it..

Melody, thank you so so much for leaving me this comment! I really appreciate you sharing your experience with me. My insurance will not cover it, we tried :( I am beyond excited to have smaller boobs. I think its going to be the best thing that has ever happened ;) I am dying to buy a swimsuit at a regular store and buying a bra at a regular store.... it will feel like such a treat! Do you mind if I ask how small you were able to go? Do you find your boobs fit in regular bras well?

I was the girl with the small tits. :) They also called me Karen Carpenter since I was a skinny mini back then. Now- the tummy has got me down, it's been through hell and back with my kids and they are older- the tummy is getting worse. :( I'm not overweight either. Of course- your baby is worth it but that doesn't mean we have to suffer with issues that can sink us mommies into a depression. I'm leaving for Mexico in a couple of weeks for my birthday and freaking out. My hubby doesn't care what my belly looks like, but I do. Surgery is scary but it's worth it! The pain goes away obviously...having a baby is no picnic. I had mine with no drugs so it really fucking sucked. :) Thanks for these videos!

"eat enough red meats" to get healthy? Eating a lot of red meat hasn't been on the list of how to get healthy for a long time. I politely suggest instead to cut back on the red meat and increase vegetable intake and healthy fats from nuts and fish. Other than that, I agree.

i wasn't going to watch cuz its not my kind of thing, all i can say is get into your best physical and mental and spiritual and emotional health over the next couple of months, as much as you can (and every little bit helps) drink more water, walk a little more laugh a lot, watch positive videos, pray, eat enough red meats, its not only about only the after, you want to be healthy going into it, and anything little change you do will help, good luck
