Sadly, I've found the only significant improvement brought about in the upgrade to AP v2 which helps me as an amateur photographer is the ability to switch back into RAW processing. All the other changes just complicate matters. I prefer AP v1 and I regret upgrading.
Oh well. Affinity is first a graphics design suite and a lot of the changes are for graphics folks. Still, it has lots for photographers like us at a price that beats Adobe out of the park. I took a while to get used to version 2 but now I'm ok with it.
