    I’ve been buying from native deodorant for quite some time, and love it. But I would find it interesting to try and make it. Thanks for a great tutorial

      I love that brand as well but it’s so pricey so I like to make my own. I find it works about the same for me. But just like with any natural deodorant some days work better then others lol. You can also add some essential oils to it if you like a more scented deodorant, I have a couple blends listed on the blog post. Thank you so much for watching and I hope you enjoy the recipe!

      Doesn’t the native brand have two ingredients that overtime - can raise the risks of getting cancer? Might be in their shampoo & conditioner but something to check out for 💗

      @aquaintlife  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Jyothi! Yes, you can add essential oils to this. I would do about 10-15 drops per stick depending on how strong of a smell you will want. I like using rose or lavender essential oils. On the blog post, there are blends to try if you are not sure what type of oils you'd like to use. The link can be found in the description box. Hope this helps :)

    Your skin pH is about 4.5-5.5. Baking soda is very alkaline, around 8 in pH! Arrowroot is about 5.5, Tapioca Flour is about 4. I use a little Zinc or a cream, Mandelic Acid, and Arrowroot Powder. Sometimes I use a preservative. The Mandelic Acid is a weak Alpha Hydroxy Acid. It kills bacteria on the skin that can cause odor. Another reason not to use Baking Soda.

      @LisaG442 ปีที่แล้ว

      So what you’re saying is a homemade soap should rip your skin off as it weighs in at a whopping 8 - 10 on a ph scale. Heck, tap water Ph is about a 6. Ph has nothing to do with skin sensitivity but the tolerance of the individual for the molecular properties of a chemical.

    • @darlenecuker9711
      @darlenecuker9711 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Lisa, who leaves soap on their skin? No one. It would “rip the skin off” as you put bit if you didn’t wash off the soap. Folks leave deodorant on right? Therefore a concern about the ph. What a way to reply to someone

    I find that the bee's wax sticks to my shirt's underarm with other recipes. Normal cold wash in the washer won't remove it. Does it do that with your recipe?

    • @aquaintlife
      @aquaintlife  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Anne, I have had that happen to me before as well. I haven’t had that issue with this recipe as of yet. But it might be because this recipe only calls for 2 tbsp of it so it’s not the whole base of the recipe. I hope you find it the same for you. I know it can be frustrating to find a good natural deodorant! Good luck! Let me know how you like it if you try it. 😊

    • @aquaintlife

      You can store it in the container in a cool dry place. I use my hall closet not the bathroom since the bathroom can get pretty warm with the steam. Hope this helps.

    • @aquaintlife
      @aquaintlife  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Courtney, sorry about the confusion. You can use either one for this recipe. Both work well. I like using cocoa butter for the subtle sweet smell it gives but that’s completely personal preference. Hope this helps. Thank you for watching!

      I didn't realize. But just know you can use shea butter and cocoa interchangeably for recipes like this. Their both plant-based fats that help moisturize the skin.
