I'm getting used to not hearing gear whine more and more. You can tell it's gear drive. If I was a heli manufacturer I would be sending you models because you always make sure you talk about what they do well. I guess you know how to set them up good to begin with. It is an affordable helicopter. I like seeing how the V radio works out.
Me too! Belt driven is so much quieter and nicer. I’ve never been a fan of TT gears and straight cut or slant cut gears. Easy to strip in a crash ton of noise. If you looked at TT gears the wrong way they would completely strip out. I’m so happy Align has went to a belt driven tail and motor! Thank you, my main goal is to promote the hobby and every helicopter brand, regardless of who they are. And of course be 100% honest and say what I like and or don’t like about a model or what needs to be improved/fixed. When you have built set up and blown as many helicopters as I have, you get really good at looking at them on the bench and then being almost perfect on the maiden flight.
You could always make a video on programming v bar neo to fly on spectrum via 2 dsmx satellite, in the future. I’ve never tried icon, but I’ve flown v bar with spectrum and feels really nice
Honestly, I didn’t know you could fly Vbar NEOs on spektrum! That’s good to know! I’ll have to try that and do a video on it. I love iKon, incredible FBL and a great price! How do you setup the Vbar NEO on spektrum? Through the computer?
I think im either going to choose a tron 5.8 or this when im ready to buy a big heli. I like the tb60 for the ease of parts really nice to nust buy a kit that has everything already. But man I do like the tron as well
That’s the best thing Align has going for them. But Tron is doing a Combo on the dynamic so I hope they do it with the 5.8! I’ll be getting the new Tron when it’s available so I’ll video and let you know how it flys compared to the TB60.
@@westhobbiesrc8051 awesome man thanks! I'm pretty upset about my Trex 460 right now. The align 35 amp esc caught fire in air. Fortunately only took out the esc, but I'm replacing it with a HW 60a
Thank you! So that depends. It depends on if it is a wobble from the gains being too high or it could be a wobble from them being too low. I am going to start with. They are too low and raise them and see how it reacts.
Just curious, when you fly with the brain 2 unit, what agility setting is your choice for your flying style? I am planning to play around with that value on my next time flying but i am curious since you have used the brain extensively. Cheers
It really depends on the helicopter, I normally set around 60 for Agility some models I go lower some I go higher. But my normal start is 60. The lower the agility, the more robotic, the helicopter feels the higher, the agility, the more natural fly barred to helicopter fuels.
@@westhobbiesrc8051 Also i have a scorpion 4035 530kv motor, would that work with this heli or would i have to go with a lower Kv motor for 12s? thanks
Bank modes are Vbars Idle up modes. Basically three flight modes with all of your gain, RPM, and every adjustments on so you flip through the head speeds you tune the Heli to those RPMs.
Very nice flying! I was wondering, do you know what the max amps that you have pulled out of the HW150 is? I’m having trouble with mine cutting out and restarting…
@@douggoudie2870 Thank you! I appreciate that, I’ve peaked over 220 amps on this heli with the 150 on 6s! Lower your motor timing to around 10 degrees in the Hobbywing

Hello Jeff, Really nice flight for 6S. The vibrations problems Mikado was having with the evo was more for the nitro models, I believe? Have you heard of any vibration issues with electric helis? Do you think they will ever resolve the vibration issue with the evo? I am hoping my next bird will be a light 700 bird. I was leaning toward the Sab Piuma but after exploring the Iron 7.0 Dnamic, I am leaning more toward that bird. Haven't heard of any vibration issues with it and also they have a good selection of different pinion and tail gear ratios to choose from. Do you think you will ever do full review of the Iron 7.0 Dynamic? Love all your videos. 🧙♂👍
Hello! Thank you, I greatly appreciate that. Yes, it is a great helicopter on 6S. I have heard of Evo issues on electric models. I have since heard that they have been fixed and the new batch will no longer have those issues. I have set up and flown a few electric and Nitro models on the Evo with the hot glue modification and no problems. The issue from the beginning was the chip that they used. It was a super sensitive and fast chip that didn’t do well with vibrations. The Tron dynamic looks great! I think you would be happy with it. I would love to do a full build series and review on it! Just a matter of when.
I really like a few things. Mainly the simplicity of set up an tuning right from the transmitter and my favorite thing, but telemetry! Best telemetry read out on the market, but I still think iKon is the best bang for you’re buck FBL!
Yes and no. When you go up in voltage you drop amperage. But you also run a smaller battery. For example on 12s you run a 3300mAh and 6s you run a 5000-6000mAh. You gain a lot more power on 12s vs 6s but you can drop amperage which will give you a longer flight time, if running the same milliamp hours. But in theory, no 6s does not mean less flight time. Just less power.
That’s a tough one. So there is only a $100 difference between the two. I am going to make a comparison/review video on both models I’m going to fly a lighter battery in the TB60 next but it felt a little heavy for a 600 class machine but that’s also because it shares 80% of the parts from the TB70. I think that depends on what you want as a pilot. If you want a 6S machine I would say definitely choose the TB60 if you want a little bit bigger machine, I would say get to TB70.
Due to factors beyond my control, the TB70 won't fit into my truck concurrently with car seats -- so I am going with the TB60. The TB70 certainly looks like the flagship, but I'm hoping the 12S TB60 configuration can overcome some of the weight issues. I would love to see a comparison video as well as a TB60 bench review. Thanks for sharing your first hand experience with both the TB60 and TB70.
@@CoryTrese I completely understand that! 12s TB60 is going to be a powerhouse! The 6s version flys great and has good power! I don’t even have it turned all the way up. I’m working on that video as we speak!

One thing I like about Align is the parts are reasonably priced, Lord knows I have to take advantage
That is one of the best parts about them. They have kept their very reasonable priced parts for a long time.
Parts and kits prices from Align have always been reasonable. Makes it all too easy ... ;)
