@@farnkums I love the Ventura area. I really do my dad lived in Lompoc. I know that’s not Ventura but it’s kind of close by. He was chief psychiatrist at Lompoc Federal penitentiary for about eight years. I would take the train as a youngster all the way up to Santa Barbara and he would drive out there to pick me up and take me to Lompoc. I have some friends in the Oxnard area in Port Hueneme.

I actually did have part in creating that particular commercial and I was the one in the bear suit as well. Lololol. And what I noticed afterwards, where the feet are located on the Bear suit there’s two holes in them so you can stick your feet through and actually wear shoes, but I didn’t know that so I was barefoot inside the costume, stepping on rocks and pinecones and you can almost see me limping as I’m running away, stepping on these rocks lol the things I’ll do for you guys hahaha

Linda, so listen to what I have to say here for the 10 years that I’ve lived here. January has been the best month. December has always been pretty much a dud. Not always nothing at all, but it’s been a dud for the most part. I don’t ever recall recording any significant snowfall in December. November we’ve had a couple massive snow storms, but January has been the snowiest month of the year since I’ve been up here for a decade. This is gonna be my 10th January.

I want people coming up here wanting to come back but what I learned at orientation when I worked at the ski resort is a huge number of people never return because of so much BS that goes on around here and I wish all of that would change. I mean, why even try to make any money when the conditions aren’t that great it’s just all about making money instead of taking care of the people, but it is what it is.
Hey Nikk! We got some snow in North Carolina where I live! It was only a inch a half but it was Beautiful! And it had been cold enough so it stuck! Of course I took pictures but I'm sad because I missed getting to see it come down. Happy Dance!

Has it always snowed near new years? We want to come for dec 29 - jan 2 but want there to snow during that time. I looked back last couple years and it snowed before and during new years
That’s a good question. If you look back on my channel specifically just go back to December and January of every year we’ve typically at least half of the 10 years that I’ve been here. I think we’ve had snow right around Christmas or on Christmas Day and then New Year’s, I think most of the time we have probably had a little bit of snow on the ground, but January is the snowiest month since I’ve lived here for 10 years. We’ve had the most snow in January. I hope that’s helpful. However, my extended forecast only goes out till 27 of December and I still don’t see any snow in the forecast so that’s a little bit of a bummer for me and everybody who wants to come up here and create beautiful memories with their family. The memories are much better and much longer when families are in the middle of a beautiful snowstorm.

There was a massive fire over here running Springs in Lake arrowhead and it was super dry and I’m obviously hoping that we don’t have another week winter thankfully winter doesn’t start for another week and a half, but still.

Finally bought a snowboard after a few decades of not riding. Can't wait till it gets good, its been so warm they havent been able to make much snow until this week because the wetbulb temp was too high with the humidity etc...Probably will wait until after the holiday crowds, higher prices, and a good snowfall. 🙏 Hopeful for January. In the meantime, I need to get my butt back to the gym to get my core fired up again. Don't wanna pay to only do a few runs and then be recovering in the Lodge lol.

But my goodness, I always want to do what I can to treat the world the best that I can and I really want to be able to understand this whole conversation But with all the money involved in the whole globe warming situation just makes me think we’re being scammed somehow but again I’ve seen with my own eyes. This area has received less and less snowfall over the decades that I’ve been coming up here and where we used to have a home in a town called Lake arrowhead it’s maybe 1500 or 2000 feet lower in elevation and they used to get a heck of a lot more snow and now they get a lot more rain than they do snow every year so something is definitely happening, but I hope it doesn’t last. I hope it’s just a little hiccup in the cycle lol But we need to do whatever we can take care of our planet. I couldn’t agree more about keeping this place clean and doing all we can to not pollute.

I came here from Newport Beach 10 years ago and as a kid, my mom had a house in Lake arrowhead and that’s what made me fall in love with this mountain range. If I was able to find full-time work in Lake arrowhead that’s where I would’ve moved, but because I had to be in this mountain range because of all the nostalgia and the beautiful memories of my family as a kid I decided to move to Big Bear, but Lake arrowhead is where I really wanted to be but now I’ve completely fallen in love with this town. I really do appreciate your support. I’m doing the best I can as you’ve probably noticed. I have about 3700 videos and I’ve been doing this channel for 10 years and I’ve never missed a single snowstorm in this area. I’m very passionate about it and if I’m able to help locals, especially my Big Bear locals I do the best that I can and what I mean by help is making the videos so they can see what to expect before they even leave the house and see which roads they can take and which roads they might want to consider taking because of the situation. It really does help people get to work on time and maybe plan on leaving a few minutes earlier depending on what they see when I’m driving around it feels really good to be able to contribute like that. I am so jealous of those people out there. I’ve wanted to live in Redfield, New York for one cold season to experience some of the incredible lake affect snow. That town in particular averages some of the highest lake effect snowfall annually.

I’m gonna have to watch that movie again last night. I watched such an incredible movie and I think it’s one of those movies that should be the annual Christmas time movie that all families should watch together. It’s about how Santa Claus became who he is. It’s called “Christmas story” It’s a Finnish movie and they’re speaking a different language but they have it dubbed over in English and it is a remarkable movie. It is such a beautiful movie. I can’t believe it. It’s the first time I’ve ever seen it and I’m telling you right now you need to find it on whatever is streaming that movie. It was made in 2007 and I’m gonna watch this movie every Christmas just like a lot of people watch it’s a wonderful life and other wonderful Christmas movies like that miracle on 34th St. A Christmas story. But remember look up the movie called just simply “ Christmas Story” I promise you it’s gonna bring tears to your eyes. It’s such a beautiful story.

They’re always doing good even when they have a really small year which is never the case. They are always way better with the amount of snowfall then we will ever get. Buddy this is unfortunate this year I think you guys are lacking snow and getting warmer than normal temperature and clearer skies, because in southern UsA including in Southern California there is a strong El Nino, I live in Langley, Canada near Vancouver BC, And no kidding this year we have a 60% La Nina year, which means that places like Texas, California, new Mexico, Missouri, Florida all those places are gonna get a warm winter and the season in terms of snow and colder temperatures especially for people like you who love snow will be disappointed. But we in January and February in Vancouver have a lot of snowfall coming, yesterday it was freezing outside when we went on the festival bro, for a Christnas lights near me my neck had completely frozen and gone numb, But this morning we woke up to 35 degrees outside and there was a Google prediction for a rain snow mix it first rained a bunch here, but guess what since December is here, I was on a school field trip to the movie near Willoughby, Langley, which is a neighborhood we have in my city. And we got Snow flurries which happened at 9:45 am at 34 degrees, So we didn't get any accumulation, but we got our first snowflakes of the season during the daytime so everyone in the bus saw it man and they started to get excited, including me I said first thing" Wow, It's snowing outside"! Even though it was wet snow we still got it before you big Bear Lake, Losers😂 Love you man!

But merry Christmas to you, my friend And regarding the La Niña what I’ve always noticed especially here is we seem to get or at least it feels like we get a lot more snow and let me explain when we have an El Niño year we will get a lot of precipitation, but most of our storms will start off as really heavy rain and then once the cold front passes through then it’ll turn to snow after the heaviest precipitation is already done and it came down as rain but during the La Niña seasons, we aren’t gonna get as much precipitation, but most of the storms are gonna be all snow so it feels like we’re getting a lot more snowso I’m hoping that pans out I think three seasons ago my prediction was literally 100% spot on not 99% not 75%. It was 100% spot on and it was another La Niña type of a season.

@@farnkums I love the Ventura area. I really do my dad lived in Lompoc. I know that’s not Ventura but it’s kind of close by. He was chief psychiatrist at Lompoc Federal penitentiary for about eight years. I would take the train as a youngster all the way up to Santa Barbara and he would drive out there to pick me up and take me to Lompoc. I have some friends in the Oxnard area in Port Hueneme.

Linda, so listen to what I have to say here for the 10 years that I’ve lived here. January has been the best month. December has always been pretty much a dud. Not always nothing at all, but it’s been a dud for the most part. I don’t ever recall recording any significant snowfall in December. November we’ve had a couple massive snow storms, but January has been the snowiest month of the year since I’ve been up here for a decade. This is gonna be my 10th January.

I want people coming up here wanting to come back but what I learned at orientation when I worked at the ski resort is a huge number of people never return because of so much BS that goes on around here and I wish all of that would change. I mean, why even try to make any money when the conditions aren’t that great it’s just all about making money instead of taking care of the people, but it is what it is.

Has it always snowed near new years? We want to come for dec 29 - jan 2 but want there to snow during that time. I looked back last couple years and it snowed before and during new years
That’s a good question. If you look back on my channel specifically just go back to December and January of every year we’ve typically at least half of the 10 years that I’ve been here. I think we’ve had snow right around Christmas or on Christmas Day and then New Year’s, I think most of the time we have probably had a little bit of snow on the ground, but January is the snowiest month since I’ve lived here for 10 years. We’ve had the most snow in January. I hope that’s helpful. However, my extended forecast only goes out till 27 of December and I still don’t see any snow in the forecast so that’s a little bit of a bummer for me and everybody who wants to come up here and create beautiful memories with their family. The memories are much better and much longer when families are in the middle of a beautiful snowstorm.
Sometimes its Winter here Jan, Feb, March, and outdoor picnic for Christmas. Not praying for that!

Finally bought a snowboard after a few decades of not riding. But my goodness, I always want to do what I can to treat the world the best that I can and I really want to be able to understand this whole conversation But with all the money involved in the whole globe warming situation just makes me think we’re being scammed somehow but again I’ve seen with my own eyes. This area has received less and less snowfall over the decades that I’ve been coming up here and where we used to have a home in a town called Lake arrowhead it’s maybe 1500 or 2000 feet lower in elevation and they used to get a heck of a lot more snow and now they get a lot more rain than they do snow every year so something is definitely happening, but I hope it doesn’t last. I hope it’s just a little hiccup in the cycle lol
But we need to do whatever we can take care of our planet. I couldn’t agree more about keeping this place clean and doing all we can to not pollute.

I came here from Newport Beach 10 years ago and as a kid, my mom had a house in Lake arrowhead and that’s what made me fall in love with this mountain range. If I was able to find full-time work in Lake arrowhead that’s where I would’ve moved, but because I had to be in this mountain range because of all the nostalgia and the beautiful memories of my family as a kid I decided to move to Big Bear, but Lake arrowhead is where I really wanted to be but now I’ve completely fallen in love with this town.
I really do appreciate your support. I’m doing the best I can as you’ve probably noticed. I have about 3700 videos and I’ve been doing this channel for 10 years and I’ve never missed a single snowstorm in this area. I’m very passionate about it and if I’m able to help locals, especially my Big Bear locals I do the best that I can and what I mean by help is making the videos so they can see what to expect before they even leave the house and see which roads they can take and which roads they might want to consider taking because of the situation. It really does help people get to work on time and maybe plan on leaving a few minutes earlier depending on what they see when I’m driving around it feels really good to be able to contribute like that.

I’m gonna have to watch that movie again last night. I watched such an incredible movie and I think it’s one of those movies that should be the annual Christmas time movie that all families should watch together. It’s about how Santa Claus became who he is.
It’s called “Christmas story”
It’s a Finnish movie and they’re speaking a different language but they have it dubbed over in English and it is a remarkable movie. It is such a beautiful movie. I can’t believe it. It’s the first time I’ve ever seen it and I’m telling you right now you need to find it on whatever is streaming that movie.
It was made in 2007 and I’m gonna watch this movie every Christmas just like a lot of people watch it’s a wonderful life and other wonderful Christmas movies like that miracle on 34th St. A Christmas story.

@@danpayan9468 Jay really does a great job. He was the other guy in the video who I was talking to. You couldn’t see him. It’s unfortunate. He cut himself out of the video, but he just wants to do what’s gonna make the video best and he is in a few of the new commercials as well. This was obviously one of the new commercials that I’ve never posted before I have a couple more rap commercials as well lol you’re gonna love them. They are a lot of fun.

I make fun of myself being w/o hair on my head, than most people could make fun of me. I just drop my pants and show them that I do have hair. Just in a different location.
Enjoyed the video. Suggestion, show even the nice days up there and the things open up there for the tourists. Not all tourists want to fight with the snow and it may help with the economy during the none sking days of the season. It’s beautiful up there, year round.

Buddy this is unfortunate this year I think you guys are lacking snow and getting warmer than normal temperature and clearer skies, because in southern UsA including in Southern California there is a strong El Nino, I live in Langley, Canada near Vancouver BC, And no kidding this year we have a 60% La Nina year, which means that places like Texas, California, new Mexico, Missouri, Florida all those places are gonna get a warm winter and the season in terms of snow and colder temperatures especially for people like you who love snow will be disappointed. But we in January and February in Vancouver have a lot of snowfall coming, yesterday it was freezing outside when we went on the festival bro, for a Christnas lights near me my neck had completely frozen and gone numb, But this morning we woke up to 35 degrees outside and there was a Google prediction for a rain snow mix it first rained a bunch here, but guess what since December is here, I was on a school field trip to the movie near Willoughby, Langley, which is a neighborhood we have in my city. And we got Snow flurries which happened at 9:45 am at 34 degrees, So we didn't get any accumulation, but we got our first snowflakes of the season during the daytime so everyone in the bus saw it man and they started to get excited, including me I said first thing" Wow, It's snowing outside"! Even though it was wet snow we still got it before you big Bear Lake, Losers😂 Love you man!

I love it when people really tell me about their weather situations because I really do love this stuff and I just really appreciate you taking the time to leave me such a thorough comment like this. Our snowy months here are about to pop off and I just heard we might actually have a slight chance of a snow flurry on Christmas Day so that would be very special. I love it when Santa comes and we have fresh snow.
But merry Christmas to you, my friend And regarding the La Niña what I’ve always noticed especially here is we seem to get or at least it feels like we get a lot more snow and let me explain when we have an El Niño year we will get a lot of precipitation, but most of our storms will start off as really heavy rain and then once the cold front passes through then it’ll turn to snow after the heaviest precipitation is already done and it came down as rain but during the La Niña seasons, we aren’t gonna get as much precipitation, but most of the storms are gonna be all snow so it feels like we’re getting a lot more snowso I’m hoping that pans out I think three seasons ago my prediction was literally 100% spot on not 99% not 75%. It was 100% spot on and it was another La Niña type of a season.
