- Yes, it's happening.😄
He finally realized that our lives cannot go on forever without me learning how to use the chainsaw so I can use it anytime I want and if needed.
But.
I had no idea how challenging it was for me.
I don't have the strength.
I have to keep doing it, so my body gets used to it.
Philippe has been very patient with me.
Next time, I'll do better.
Thank you for watching.

You can do it, Divine! Eventually it will become second nature. Philippe is a great teacher. I learned something today, too.
I am glad to hear that you learned something too.☺️ and yes, more practice for me, soon...I'll be able to fell a tree.
Awesome that Philippe is taking so much time to teach you all the homesteading skills. Good for both of you.
He's teaching me things he never let me do in the past coz he's afraid I'll hurt myself ☺️ thanks Jay and Eleine!
Well done Divine, I know it’s not easy learning a new task but you didn’t give up and got it sorted.
Thanks so much for watching and for the kind words, much appreciated. ☺️
i allways start my chain saw with one foot on it and chainbreak allways on. must say phillip you doing a great work teaching her
Thanks so much for watching, appreciate the feedback.☺️
Good job... you will get better and better at it.
Thanks so much Maurice!☺️
@@ThisisOurLifeOffGrid I think you were a bit nervous starting the chainsaw , just like everyone does. The more you practice , the more confident you will get and it will be easier for you to start it. I still think you did a great job and now rest your arms.
I. Can't believe you were a school teacher the way you are teaching how to do things
Thanks for watching Robert.
You could also try putting your right toe through the handle to help stabilize the saw and help to start😊
Thank you so much for watching and for the tip! I tried that but since I was wearing my winter boots it didn't help. I will practice more in the spring.
LOL! Everyone has trouble with a chainsaw. You did great but be very careful.
Thanks so much for watching!☺️
What I've done here made me sore for a few days. 😅
Thank you for watching me struggle with the chainsaw.
Philippe good training for your wife, keep up on her until she can do it without any problems.
Thanks so much for watching.☺️ Yes, I'll keep practicing with Philippe until I can do it myself.
Be extra careful in using that chainsaw..it will force you backward going to your knee or might be somewhere else like your leg..so be careful. 💖😘
@@NanieMaaño thank you so much!😘
chain saws are great, they will cut wood fast. chainsaws also cut cloth ,leather, flesh and bone just as fast. . You can never be to careful . My friend has a saw and I can't be around when he touches is.. I might be too careful and a little slower than some but I'm safe..
Thanks so much for watching Bob and for the great advice.
Youre having trouble pull starting. I always put my foot through the handle to hold it down 100x easier. Idk about safety wise but its what ive always done. Maybe it will help you if your boot fits. If not put a piece of wood through it and stand on each side, then the saw wont move and it will be easier to pull. You'll get it !!!!
Thanks so much for watching and for the tip, will definitely try that next time I'm not wearing my winter boots.
I have the same problem when starting my stihl. It jerks your hand back and makes it where you cant pull. We must be doing something wrong...i feel like i pull it really hard, it cant be a strength thing...
Thanks for watching and for being on my side, haha! As Philippe said, I may be not pulling it hard enough. One day, I'll have enough strength to pull it.😄
I like you guys. Maybe ask her to do some arm workouts for a month then let her grab it
Thank you Lawrence, I hope you're enjoying the channel so far. I'm so busy that I don't have time to do arm workouts😅. I'll keep practicing l, eventually, ill be able to start it, no problem.
Buy her a 192tc or something of this nature. These are way smaller than what you have her using
We're looking into getting an electric one or something, if they're not too expensive.
Why not get one of those easy pull types and fit it to that - EASY PULL IS COMMON NOW
Thanks for watching. We'll look into an alternative and if they are not too expensive, we'll invest on one, just in case.
Could you get a battery chain saw for emergencies for Devine
Thanks for watching Christine. He said he'll get me an electric chainsaw just to make sure. But I won't give up learning about this very difficult regular chainsaw.😄
😂 she acts like she doesn't want to learn. Every time she makes her cut it's like floppy arms and. Mabe a smaller saw will entice her more. Couldn't hurt by having her life a 5 pound wait for a little bit to build up some strength 💪 🙌
Thank you Lawrence.☺️ I want to learn of course, it's just a bit intimidating at first, there's a lot to remember. I have to have the strength 💪, next time you'll see me fell a tree.☺️
I wanted to share something with you, still makes a chainsaw that is spring loaded you pull the rope all the way out and you let go of it and it'll start , just sharing don't mean to tell you what to do at all.
Thanks so much for watching Oscar and I appreciate you sharing your opinion. I will mention this to Philippe. Otherwise, he'll get me an electric one.😄
shes doing good she just dose not have the strenth to pull it my girl has a hard time to
Thanks for watching Steve. You are correct, I don't have the strength and it was frustrating. I guess, I just have to keep practicing.☺️
