Hi, thanks for the vid, but just a little feedback from a dyslexic... spoken instruction is what I come to TH-cam for, not written instructions. Also, the music is really distracting so I can’t focus on your demo. I don’t think you said what gauge wire you were using. I’m sure the vid is great for neurotypicals but sadly not much help for me. Sorry 😐
Could you please let us know the gauge of the nichrome wire? Also does the wire you used have any characteristics that we should know about, is it tempered for instance? Thanks for doing this as I have been thinking of making my own as apposed to buying them. Thanks in advance 🙂
Hi There ... I always use NiChrome wire for tip making as its a resistance wire and recommended ... In the video I use a range of 22-25 SWG which suits most machines ... You can use other sizes but check your machine will cope (particulary if you use a wider core). If I make shaders I always switch my pen cable to a ' heavy duty cable'. I hope that helps.
