The man above has allowed this OG a pass out of respect...and the best thing he can do is to tell his story to the young upcoming kids in hopes that they see the reality of his message.
Im class of 82 south torrance high...only 10......20 miles away.we played in the same CIF leagues...i was a 3rd string saftey in 1979 when we played an afternoon game at morningside in inglewood....and in 81 i was on track team ...mostly sittin out after breakin my leg in 3 places oct of 1980.so i was at his highschool for a trackmeet....i remember that they had a team with some real talented people...boys and girls all top notch...they snuffed our crew in team competition...and we had a couple shining stars who medaled but i have to say...the compton schools had a real serious desire to win...they trained alot harder...they were all for 1 and 1 for all...had top notch coaches...and seemed far more mature and focused.
In the area i grew up...lomita till age 8...there my school...eshelman ave.was a good mix of kids from welfare housing to ones from relative affluance..good educators who instilled values of humility....and equality...no matter skin color.. religion..or socioeconomic background...we were not divided along any of these lines...taught that a chain is only as strong as its weakest link....so the strong....they gotta help elevate the weak...not tearem down further...and the ones from more well heeled economic arenas....should kick in and help ensure that a kid from a less advantaged household was not excluded....
Amazing how so night and day different things were in torrance...not much gang presence if any ...so i went thru high school having only had 1 fight ...in 3rd grade...1 punch..over...in 6th grade...with same guy never a blow landed...i ended up being close friends with that guy. .
I really think that its time we have some political reform...and...stop rewarding laziness and apathetic attitudes...we as americans need to unite...quit fighting over race and religion....leave guns out of disputes...and savem for china and russia...

As many, I find these war stories interesting but at the end of it all I think about is how many young black men waisted their lives and true potential and fell into the trap of self genocide especially in middle/ lower middle class south central Los Angeles. Another thing that I notice about guys that were gunners is so many of them end up loosing a child. I feel like you can't live life taking lives without karma coming back. I wish this brother the best moving forward. I hope he is surrounded by positive people and gets therapy. And salute to how he handled that clown wack 100. Principles over everything.

Realest OG I ever listened to preach & actually learned something from this. I was hard headed asf as a kid went to jail/prison my first time not listening even tho I new there was only 2 was out the way I was living either Jail or a box & God choose jail for me. In that process I lost immediate family that I still don’t no how to cope with till this day. I’m saying this cause I once to live that life style but something told me to leave it alone as much as I loved it with a passion. Other then me having a baby girl at 18 years old I was still outside heavy, me listening to OGs in & outside of prison cause that all I really hang around my whole life but they taught me one thing that will always stick with me forever specially hearing this man is to always have to always have faith, real recognize real & always be humble at the end cause it’s only 2 ways to go in this street shit I promise yu. I’m 23 & been thru it all some shit just don’t be worth… shit might not be hurting yu alil but it’s killing yur loved ones seeing yu crash & burn knowing yu got potential… Everyone Be Safe 💯✔️

OG was excellent but the Capone dude should be DP (LOL) for not listening, not understanding the streets, not understanding prison, not understanding LA gangs and for not knowing how to ask follow up questions to assist OG in talking about his crazy and amazing story. Wish instead he interviewed with Kev Mac or Alex Alonso aka reputable LA gang media sources.

It’s crazy how fast gang banging evolved… from repping something and getting into a fistfight,to going to school just as an opportunity to bang on other ppl and finally to just senseless killings. It gets to the point where u even ask urself, what’s even the point?

Gangs really started in California to protect your own people. Hispanic gangs were out as early as the 1920s to protect from whites. Overtime it became a territorial thing when money and drugs got involved. Same is true with black gangs it was to protect your community. It just ended up turning into something else over time. Nowadays No matter how nice it looks, when your surrounded by gangs your not going to survive in a neighborhood rolling solo. It fools out of towners and next thing you know your 6ft deep.

My brother used to like the garment district and used to take me to get clothes for school in the late 80's, early 90's. LA looks nice on TV, but it's way rougher looking in person. Especially back then. It was sharks out everywhere.
