Riley had an incredible 8 minute ender part in the flare and this one right here is crazy too. The last two tricks literally blew me away. I actually expected everybody to call him SOTY before looking into the comments, but I had to read a lot of hate comments instead. Are you guys fucking serious? This dude deserves SOTY more than anybody else right now. Maybe you might not love his style and that's okay, but I guess you all can at least give him some respect for stacking that much amazing footage this year!
joe schmo Cole Wilson had a part at the beginning of the year, but I actually haven't heard anything from him since then. Don't get me wrong, his part was amazing but it takes more than one part in january to deserve soty.
joe schmo hulkripps came out in 2015 and real street was a one minute clip and banging too. Not to say that nobody cares about xgames or berrics park footage. I love cole wilson but that's not enough if you ask me! Apart from that, I really recommend watching Riley's full part in the flare. I didn't like him until that also, but the flare completely changed my mind.

I look through these comments and laugh. Riley hawk is talented as fuck, the fact people are hating on his style and that he doesn’t skate switch is stupid as fuck. He’s put out more footage than anybody this year. Basically all bangers. Very good chance for SOTY.

Yes his fathers influence is very strong but I don't think anybody can become that good. Talent is a real thing.

Such a solid athlete and if he wasn’t doing this he would be playing another sport professionally. Respect to this dude for making a name for himself. Pardon the pun... but that last epic six flags type rail-er-coaster grind is something straight outta "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater" ...only this Insanity is fucking real!... "Riley Hawk's keep it in the Circus" lol.
I envy his style, mad calm and confident, simply skating to challenge himself and I get that, where as competitive skating can easily alter ones style as more machine-like, more athletic towards the "sport" of skating rather than the artistic style of individualism that to me, is the true essence of skateboarding.
