A Palatine, Illinois native, Mike Tauchman grew up a Cubs fan and was looking forward to playing in the iconic rivalry series. He knew how important the moment was when he made a game-saving catch in center field robbing Alec Burleson of a home run to secure the win. I get chills reliving this, too, Adbert!! I watched this game with bated breath. I detest the Cardinals and I live in the St Louis area.i was jumping up and down screaming and clapping , scaring my dog to death, when Tauchman caught that ball. Wow! Incredible!!! For days I was smiling BIG and repeating to all Cardinals fans I saw, "Did you see that Tauchman catch?!!! Love my Cubs!
