Alaysha is one of my favorite hurdlers. She is legit one of the best 100M hurdlers in the world, and that's saying something considering how deep we are just in the US in that event. Her talent suggests she should have at least a good sponsorship deal for gear and support if not an endorsement. But real talk... I've seen a lot of interviews and she sometimes comes off as one who might bite the hand that feeds her. She complains about the shoe companies in every interview. Those reps are probably watching while eating their escargot, shaking their heads and thinking "Good luck with that".
I love her attitude. She may or may not know her vulnerability is her superpower. So many people can relate her. I pray God blesses her. You could feel the guys empathy towards her.❤❤❤
I am so happy this interview of Alaysha got so many views. She deserves it so much. She deserves so much being in Paris. But now, it's time to show more in the semis. Like 12.40/42 .
I am now officially a fan of Lay's. I almost met her at the Olympic trials but she had to leave the area after her race. Her story brought tears to my grown man eyes. I'm so inspired.
That was so dope to just be like “you know what, we gotta do something” literally calls up fanatics owner and gets her mom to go to Paris and possibly help look at money opportunities. The pivot continues its greatness!

I love this young lady, her spirit and determination are infectious. We as a community need to take care of this young lady. This is a perfect example that if she's having problems getting sponsorship, then we need to step in and throw our dollars behind her.
This the first time Ive disagreed with Freddy T when he bought up her changing her mindset. Her rebuttal was fantastic. EVERYTHING she said was spot on! Good for her! Experience all the Olympics has to offer girl! And lock in when it’s time. Over analyzing a get the best of you while in the sport and after. When you live your life with the “it’s all ready written” attitude is freeing. I wish her the best! Get the Gold medal girl! 🙌🏼
Alaysha you are an inspiration, I am your fan and didn't know you are going through this hardship... You are out here entertaining us baring your talent all out yet out here struggling. I am so sorry. May you win the Olympics for you and us.
So glad she carefully and kindly put old head in yellow in his old place. Telling her about her mindset when he really don’t know anything about her and why she is how she is ❤.

I truly appreciate you guys bringing Alaysha Johnson to your Podcast and allowing her to tell her story, it's one of inspiration. There are too many of our young Track and Field athletes are left to fend for themselves. I pray that God will continue to bless and keep her always.
From the UK just watched this interview with Alaysha Johnson so blessed by her raw authenticity and the acknowledgement 3 great black men gave to her. Thank you 🎉❤
The system is so broken! I hope she signs up with Michael Johnson’s Grand Slam Track League of 4 tournaments a year for the top track athletes to get paid and win big prize money. And I really hope this league is successful. To be as good as she has been and no sponsor is crazy.
This was a good episode. These guys know when to be them. Like channing stomping his leg like he was running track. That was hilarious. RC always knows when to break down a question to get deeper with the guest. Lay lay was an outstanding guest that I didn't know before this episode simply because I'm not a big track and field follower, but I'm 100% behind lay lay and hope she wins every medal she is up for!
her whole story is so inspiring and such a testament to her skill and determination. when she talked about coming from a place without a lot of love or belief around her, i felt that in my heart. i'm 35 and just learning to untangle myself from that mess and believe in myself now. sending so much love to alaysha on her well-deserved and overdue first olympics.
I love her spirit. So good to hear from these athletes who have to go through so much to compete. Without the sort of help that one needs to be at peak performance. Thanks, Pivot!!
