Just wanted to say thanks! Mine went out today, and I saw all the others with the dashboards torn apart. Saw this vid, followed it and had mine repaired in 3 and a half minutes. Excellent video.
Thank you it worked flawless it took me 5 minutes to do only because I am 6f and 250 lbs so I don't fit very well! But thank you for taking the time to show us!!
Good video but even with a lot of trying and contorting my ol’ body I just could not get to the flasher the way you described but you are exactly correct In your procedure to remove, I just couldn’t do it. I ended up removing 7 small bolts holding the ashtray holder and lower dashboard panel and was able to access that way because it afforded me at least a partial view of what you described in your video. I applaud you for your dexterity , mine however isn’t what it use to be Lol!
Thanks for this video. I too had looked and started tearing the dash apart before I saw your video. Mine's a 2000 F250 and the flasher replacement goes pretty easy. I did have to pull the heater duct away a little to get my arm up in there, but it was a whole lot easier than tearing the whole dash apart!. Mine does have two relays under the cover, I believe one may be for the blower, not sure.
Cool. I had replaced mine a year ago for LEDs but it started clicking all the time. Originally I went thru the trash bag holder (some have ashtray). Just wanted to verify flasher but not wanting to go thru dash again stumbled upon this vid. AWESOME, mine there's an air duct on our 01 F250 but reaching past that then up and easily reached flasher. Mine has a smaller relay in front of this flasher which helped locate socket. Tight space but 5 minuets in/out. THANKS
Thanks for the short cut, although the Superduty 99-07 has got to be the easiest dash to remove, but this is far more appropriate of a procedure for this one relay. Lol thanks again.
Very, Very well done...I too am chasing the 'hyper-flash', and am grateful for your clear and succinct post.MANY happy miles to you and yours!Jon Howard2005 F-450 Super Duty
Perfect, the easiest way to do this. Some trucks have a heater outlet pipe in the way, but from what I saw you can remove that easily by pulling the knee panel and taking out the screw that holds that plastic pipe and pulling it out of the way. All that said, no such pipe on my 2002 F250 and everything went smoooooooth like butta!!!
perfect.. thank you for simplification !...New fuse to stop rapid flash for me was black not blue and too big for cover but seems to be good...thanks again
Well... the intermittent buzzing stopped, now it is making the continuous blinking noise, whether blinkers or emergency flashers are applied or not?? I'm guessing the Multi-Function Switch next?
I was looking at all these videos and thinking.. what a nightmare! Looked at your video dude and BAMM so easy to do. Fuck, thank you sir so much. Good luck and thanks for the video.
Wholly crap I went though the manual on the fuse panel and power distribution under the hood . I was losing my freakin mind where is it and why is it not labeled or in a box with the rest of the fuses? Thanks I to have rapid flash and led taillights
i changed my flasher relay to an electronic relay so i cld run led bulbs in my 2002 250 superduty, after installing bulbs and new flasher the lights still hyperflash, any recommendations to fix this problem?
Make sure and it's electronic flasher relay. There seems to be a couple different types on the market. The one I purchased I got from Napa it was like $15 for the flasher relay but works well with the LEDs
An electronic turn signal relay for LEDs. It has the same prongs as the standard one except it doesn't rely on resistance to make the clicking or blinking. I got mine at NAPA.
Mine is not there. It’s a lariat I don’t know why that would make a difference. The hazard light flasher is there, but no wires going into where the turn signal flasher should be
@@oaktree185 yep already figured that out by watching a different video. Thanks! Wish I had set up to make video I could show everyone how to takeoff the lower panel to get straight to it because I do not have small arms or hands
Awesome! WAY easier than some of the other methods I saw. Quick and easy, as it should be! Thanks.
Just wanted to say thanks! Mine went out today, and I saw all the others with the dashboards torn apart. Saw this vid, followed it and had mine repaired in 3 and a half minutes. Excellent video.
2003 f250 Worked great! thanks!
Thanks for this video. It took me less than a minute to switch mine out. It's the same for 2004 F750.
Five minute blind install I am so happy and it worked. Thank you!

Perfect explanation took me 5. Minutes. Thank you
AWE-SOME!!! I'm glad someone with a brain posted a video. Thank you!!!
Thank you very much for the information. Way easier than the other videos. Worked like a charm, with a little effort on this old man's part.

Thank you. Glad I found this. Just bought the truck and previous owner put in LED bulbs and I'm plagued with the hyper flash, myself.
Thank you for making this video. I also looked at the other vids. Six minutes MAX after watching this. I installed a louder flasher DAECO MODEL 607
Saved me a lot of time and hassle, thanks for going to the effort.

Thanks on my way to the Salvage yard , now..... I will let you know how I do, thanks for taking the time to upload this video.
Wow thanks I was looking everywhere for this relay. Wiring diagram wouldn’t say where it is.
Thanks! I changed my relay to one for leds in seconds

Wow did this in the parking lot of the auto store. So easy
Thank you for saving us sooo much time!!

Thank you for taking the time to make this video!
Thank you thank you, too bad I destroyed my radio before I watched this video. But I was going to replace it anyway. Either way, you are the man.
Thank you! Just replaced my relay for one that works with leds
Thank you, very helpful.
Thank you
Thank you that was super helpful
Thank you for the video
Very good video, thanks worked on my 2001
Thanks
Well... the intermittent buzzing stopped, now it is making the continuous blinking noise, whether blinkers or emergency flashers are applied or not?? I'm guessing the Multi-Function Switch next?
Awesome thank you so much
Thank God for this video

ur a beast! Thanks!
Thank you, finding
Thanks!
Do youknow if is the same on my van e350 2003 econoline?
My signal lights and emergency lights are not w..
Thanks
I had same question. No answer yet. 😥 one would think as a subscriber these folks answer questions. I spend 3 days under the dash and can't find it.
Wholly crap I went though the manual on the fuse panel and power distribution under the hood . I was losing my freakin mind where is it and why is it not labeled or in a box with the rest of the fuses? Thanks I to have rapid flash and led taillights
So.... Any recommendations if that doesn't fix my problem? Front driver blinker doesn't blink. Rear passenger doesnt blink
Super helpful!
Do you have to change it out to run leds
whare do i leave my tip and many thanks ford for not sharing this in the manual
Is this part in the same location on a 2003 E350? Cant find it??? Please where is it? Can't be too different from a 2004 Ford E350. No?
Same on 2003 F350 model
i changed my flasher relay to an electronic relay so i cld run led bulbs in my 2002 250 superduty, after installing bulbs and new flasher the lights still hyperflash, any recommendations to fix this problem?
Make sure and it's electronic flasher relay. There seems to be a couple different types on the market. The one I purchased I got from Napa it was like $15 for the flasher relay but works well with the LEDs
Does this affect the brakes as well?
Dude LOL
Like a boss......
Silly folks want to rip off all that dash plastic
ProTip!!
Just went out and swaped in the LED flash relay in less than a minute! LOL #notoolsrequired
What flasher did you replace it with to stop hyper flash from led bulbs?
An electronic turn signal relay for LEDs. It has the same prongs as the standard one except it doesn't rely on resistance to make the clicking or blinking. I got mine at NAPA.
I have a 2001 Ford F-250 super duty 7.3 diesel 2 WD. Mine has 3 relays in this location. What are they for? Can someone explain?
How to know if the problem is the relay or the turn signal switch?
I can't get that cover off for nothing 🤣
hI HV. 1994 FORD MONTAGO MOTOR HOME CANT FIND FLASHER OR RELAY WOULD ANY INPUT U HV. GOT DASH TORN APART STILL NO LUCK.
Hard to find anything on a 1998 and 2003 van. Thanks
Mine is not there. It’s a lariat I don’t know why that would make a difference.
The hazard light flasher is there, but no wires going into where the turn signal flasher should be
The hazards and turn signal use the same flasher relay. That?
Is what creates the delay or the resistance to cause the lights too flash.
@@oaktree185 yep already figured that out by watching a different video. Thanks!
Wish I had set up to make video I could show everyone how to takeoff the lower panel to get straight to it because I do not have small arms or hands
There sure is
what flasher did you use to get rid of hyper flash?
I used an electronic flasher from Napa for Leds
Don't need a new one. Just refill it with new blinker fluid
You can just pull out the stereo and can see it
OR remove the radio with a $5 tool from wally world, it's quicker and less hassle
Did this went to grab the one the person at the store said I needed and she gave me the wrong one 😂
