- The final push is made; I've gotten rid of my apartment in the city and moved all my things to my new farm in the north of Sweden! I may already have started this journey a year ago, but it's first now that it's really starting to shape into what I dreamt of! 😍

Hi Daniel, I'm writing to you from Italy, I also left everything 7 years ago to buy a house in the mountains, and I'm happy with this choice, life has more meaning living simply and following the seasons. lighting the wood stove, the fire, the starry skies and the wonderful nature of the mountains. Last week the same thing happened to me with the toilet bowl, it seems to be the same problem I had, I changed the gasket at the base of the pipe 2 euros and solved the problem. You look great with long hair, really beautiful. I get excited watching your videos, continue and you'll see that everything will be fine. a hug from one of your Italian fans Noemi ♥
The contrast between the beginning of this video and then showing you in a peaceful environment is spot on Daniel. I know you made the right decision. I think being true to yourself (ourselves) is the highest goal we all should strive for. And not selling our souls for money.
There are lots of ways to add to the "kitty." You are a photographer, yes? You are a gardener, yes? You have knowledge nobody else has, in your head and heart, yes ??
I think Eric's Prints would make you some fine money. As the seasons are beginning to change, and YES I remember how LONG winter was last year, and how COLD you were !!
And to think, this winter, you don't have to visit an outhouse to poop, or shower. he he he he
You have creature comforts now, in your OWN HOME, that you did not have at the family cabin.
THAT is a WIN !!
Whatever you can offer the world in goods or services is the key, I think. You surely won't be bored, keeping warm, chopping firewood in the dead of winter. So I recommend that you continue cutting wood, that is BURNABLE, yes? Fresh green wood, does not burn very well. Hopefully, those fallen trees have been down long enough that the wood is dryer now.
If I were you, I'd make my Winter Must Have list now. And begin fulfilling it before the first flakes fall. Because once it really starts to snow, you may be up a snowbank without a shovel !!
he he he he he (get it, Up a creek without a paddle !!) The sooner you are ready to attack winter from HOME this year, I think, the better. You should know already, what to expect in snowfall, in that area you are living in. I know Leena and Joachim are in the Far North of Norway now, and last Winter it was brutal in Northern Norway. They live on a huge lake as well.
I am so happy for you. That first opening of this video was frantic and insane !! It was a "Calgon take me away" kind of moment.
Calgon was an old soap we used to use in the U.S. in the 60's and 70's. That was their tagline ... "Calgon, take me away !!"
Take it easy, BUT Not Too Easy !! Because Winter might sneak up on you and freeze your backside !! he he he he
How good Daniel that you were able to verify that when our interior is at peace it is possible to feel good even in the hustle and bustle of a big city.
And it is true that is difficult to say goodbye to the place you have lived in but the memories of what you experienced will remain and will continue to be the support of your present.
You have taken a big step dear, which is buying a house, the rest will slowly fall into place, don't stress.
I respect your decision Daniel but if placing commercial ads would help you I would watch them from start to finish.
Daniel, gentle soul, you are not only a collector of beautiful images but also a deliverer of meanings.

This is so exciting! The first 30 seconds of the video actually gave me some anxiety. When you were home it was so nice to see you relax. It's Autumn and it's a wonderful time of year. Moving is exhausting and then having projects around your property will be draining physically and financially. But you are going to learn so much taking care of your home and yourself. My next big purchase is a lawnmower to keep things trimmed and to help mitigate any potential fire hazards. Just remember to remind yourself from time to time that not everything has to be done at once. And while it might feel like you are behind or there are things you should have done earlier, these are the lessons, not failures, that will help you down the road. Best wishes to you and congratulations for making this huge move!

I agree with the person that said you have talents that you could use as income. I think your photography would sell. I know some other TH-camrs that have an Etsy shop and one lady who does watercolor of different animals and flowers, and makes them into small prints sells extremely well. Another lady on another channel also does watercolor. So there is a market out there for it and I think you should look into that.

What an interesting metaphor--the material stuck around the blade keeping the lawn mower from functioning properly. Our fears often restrict us from moving forward and creating what we desire. Self trust is like a muscle, it must be exercised. Daniel, thanks for sharing your thoughts, your life's journey. Nice to see you back. I know you have been busy. Glad to see you all moved in now. How exciting. That lawn mower will be nice for you with that big yard. It will take time to get ready for all of your seasonal work but you will get there. I can't wait to see your garden next year! I have a quick story for you. My grandson and I were camping a couple of weekends ago along a creek. It was a nice day but the water was cold. We went walking down the creek, in the water not the bank, and when we came to deeper spots I said ok lets get in up to our heads. I told him how you do it all the time in much colder water. We did this several times on our walk and each time was a little easier just like you said it would be. I don't think this is something we will do at your level but it was fun to do none the less.
Ah, I felt so much relief seeing you leave the city for that beautiful countryside! It's so gorgeous there, I wish I could live somewhere so beautiful. Now you can settle in before the long winter.

First of: YAYY for the growing hair!! Just start the advertising thingy! Each time IIl see it, II will think that it enables you to fix your toilet, so no problem at all! 😘
Daniel, don’t worry about the toilet you can fix it on your own, water is coming from the water tank you probably have a rubber gasket in it turn the water off at the shutoff valve under the tank take all the bolt off and replace all the rubber gaskets and bowl gasket off and replace it too all the gaskets in time start to leak good luck I know you can do it.

The first 30 seconds (city) and then the change to the landscape/nature reminded me of the film "Koyaanisqatsi" from 1982. The word comes from the Hopi Native language and means something like "world/life out of balance.
I know such problems as a toilet that leaks or a lawnmover that doesn't work or the need for firewood.
But I don't want to live i a noisy, hectic city. I think you've made a good choice.

I enjoy supporting your channel. This is absolutely not a criticism- I have so much pride for you and your brave choices - but I do know that when I was trying to learn Swedish language I did appreciate people helping my pronunciation. In Canada the W sound is like if you say “wood”. So, you bought a lawn mower. (Tbh, I love the thought of moving the lawn with a lawn mover) or is some call a riding lawn mower. W is a soft sound.
Our V is sounding like vase. V is a hard sound.

I think this decision is soooo soooo profound for every artist: To stay pure and introverted with the own process instead of looking too much in the outside, how to sell the produkt. I am an Artist myself and I worked my whole life to earn money. In this way, I could stay free in my art, but my art had to "wait" in a way. When you have a household there's is always something breaking down. My husband fixes our lawnmower constantly. Faucets and toilet want to leak. Roof needs fixing and on and on and on..

Wow that's a very interesting theory, one that does make a lot of sense! Because it's not leaking with every flush. Only now and then. Maybe it is because sometimes it gets too full!

Please don't hire a plumber, for toilets are very basic. You have plenty of time to study them on TH-cam, and you will find that fixing it will be an easy job you can do yourself. Also the lawnmower, you have the machine, and TH-cam, along with indoor space to work on it. Therefore it would be so much cheaper and better just to fix the mower yourself, for sure!
