- Today I go over how much money I have in mods on my 2012 R56 Mini Cooper S. Hopefully thing gives anyone a reference who want to do a simple build like this an estimate of how much it could be. Below I will include the parts I go over and the costs. Enjoy !

I bought my cts intake and my cnt racing downpipe after watching this video. Hopefully install isn’t too bad but I can’t wait to see how the car is after installing the mods!

Can you please give me a link to that heat shield ?
That's a hot air intake. Also that heat shield is gonna melt the front of your valve cover, cover and it'll severely shorten the life the valve cover gasket if it's not already brittle and ready to crack. You're better off adding heat shield to the underside of the hood below the plastic hood scoop.
Personally on mine the intake temps have been perfectly fine right around or below outside temperatures and yeah the heat shield is a bit janky lol I haven’t had any issues yet but I’ll keep that in mind thanks !
I gave thumbs up to this comment ONLY because of the heat shield. The intake is always a debate, and the open filter sounds too good to remove IMO. Nice ride!

Nice mini but got a question for you. Why did you switch oil catch cans I have an m7 and was wondering.
The m7 catch can has no baffles so I decided to switch the setup with a baffled can which separates the oil particles better than a can that does not..and also the can I have now has a little dipstick that shows me the level of oil in the can so I know when to dump it I’m out
Did your catch can come with that bracket or did you buy it separately? If separately, where did you get it?
This bracket is actually off my old m7 oil catch can that I had BUT you can make your own bracket with some metal drill a couple of holes (tiny ones) and then get a screw and washer to hold it into place

im curious if anyone has any advice on a 07 with 150k miles. It’s running and driving everything checked out when I went to look at it. Just don’t know too much about them to know what to look for. He wants $800. Car seemed solid to me.

I’ll be honest the least of my worries is inspection haha technically the only thing you can’t pass with is the downpipe but a quick swap to the stock downpipe and it’ll pass as long as there’s no codes. But fortunately I have my ways for inspection so me personally I’m ok haha

DArias_, I'm new to the Mini world but I've always loved them. I have an R56 and would like the same front and rear bumpers you have. Can you tell me what they are?
What year mini do you have ? These bumpers are from the 11+ minis that came with the n18 engine. Basically we’re a face lift if you wanna call it that
@@DArias mine is a 2009. I assume the two are not compatible. I'd like a new front bumper but I don't want something drastically different from the factory styling. I do appreciate your quick response though. Thank you

Yes the performance mods def make the car much faster .. 0-60 not sure stock I believe they do 6.3 seconds so right now maybe somewhere in the mid to high 5s not 100% sure

Depends, if you’re into performance I def recommend doing something like then intake and exhaust first. But if you like the whole low and slammed suspension like then do your preference of lowered suspension with a nice set of wheels!
I’m thinking about trying to get to 400 hp do you have any idea what that would be around
If you’re looking for 400 you’re going to need to put a lot of $$ in the car.. fully built engine bigger turbo etc... def would be a fun car if you went to a setup for 400+
How was the Harness bar install? Keep getting mixed reviews on the cipher auto as far as fitting in the r56.
Tbh I had 0 issues with the install it actually went very smooth everything fit nicely with enough room..it fits snug but if you have a friend help you on the opposite side it should be easy work
@@DArias where the support bars the right size? I was told they need to be 34" for the r56. Do you happen to know what size they where? It's not listed on their site. And thanks for the reply, I have a 13 GP btw.
So the support bars I’m not sure what size they are BUT they are adjustable so you are able to adjust them to size I had to adjust these bit but they fit absolutely 100% perfect in the car you can make them longer or shorter and adjust them till you need

Maybe I’m dumb lol I’m not sure what you’re meaning by the front splines.. are you referring to the wheels themselves or the coilovers ?

Whats' the size of the tire? I have 205/45-17 and they looks very small, I'm wondering if I can replace it with 215/45-17...
You could depending on your wheel specs.. what specs are your wheels ??
@@DArias finally I was able to get all info about my wheels: Size: 17" x 7". Bolt Pattern: 4 x 100mm. Offset: 48mm

What do you think of the innercooler compared to the stock one
Night and day different IATs dropped about 30 degrees with the bigger one def 100% worth it
What are the power numbers (hp/tq) for the car ?
I’m truthfully not sure it has to be somewhere around the 220-230 hp mark and 280-300 torque
Plz share me the rim spec offest rim width and tire spec
Needs a front splitter. You could actually make one from ABS plastic reasonably cheap. ;)

Thanks man! And you don’t need a tune right away but you won’t get the full benefit of the bolt ons without the tune so it’s def recommended

How much HP?
Do you know the hp it has in total
Eh it’s probably somewhere around 250-260 hp and 270-280 torque and that’s at the crank not sure what it is to the wheels, my guess is somewhere around 215-220 hp and 260ish torque to the wheels ..never dynoed the car unfortunately haha
Man I've been looking at your youtube and instagram and noticed that you shoot mad flames, but how? I've got basically the same setup as you and a manic stage 2 but nothing. Did you do something cheeky haha
@@DArias It's a n18 and I also have a full straight pipe not sure what I'm missing
@@rudycat dude no joke thats kind of weird lol because i only have a stage 1 too and the flames are easy too shoot. unless only thing i can think of is maybe you have an exhaust leak at the downpipe or by the flex pipe not allowing them to escape from the back
what kind of spoiler did you add, above the original ?
It’s a maxton design wing extension
very strange, the company produces it only for normal Cooper spoilers, for Cooper S it is not found of this brand

What are the benefits you've noticed from the cold air intake?
Personally just sounds really good more induction Noise when getting into boost and the throttle response becomes better

next purchase... a mic that wont pick the wind next time you record lol... but in seriousness a good video, i recommend a turbo blanket!

How much hp can you get out of one of these
It depends on a stock turbo you’re looking at around 250ish depending on what bigger turbo you do it can get over 300hp with all supporting mods and such
What’s a good website to get shift knobs same as yours?
Mine is off of amazon actually haha my whole shifter setup the adapter and shift know was only like $25 al together

Def depends what you’re buying tbh and a lot of times the brand name items are just non brand items with a logo and forums also have people who have tested off brand vs brand name stuff with similar results it really depends though haha
You're missing one the most important upgrades you will ever do to a Mini, an upgraded rear sway bar, l have the Alta 22mm Adjustable Rear Sway bar and I'll tell you, it feels like my Mini is riding on rails.

@@DArias Hey I learned the hard way. Before I had a Nissan 240sx for twenty three years. I restored it to all is glory and it snowed two feet and my garage fell on it. Insurance would not cover it and it was seven thousand dollars worth of damage to the car. Two thousand for the truck. So I got the Cooper. Well in the Cooper a deer hit me. 3000 dollars worth of damage. A car is a black hole just put gas and oil in them and go.
Make shure you haves some good jams to ride down the road.
Lapel mics are like $15. I recommend trying to find a way to localize your voice away from the elements. Outside of that azing video.
