- Who doesn't love building an army to become unstoppable and kill everything? Thankfully this game let's me do just that. This game is super fun when it doesn't break completely so I'm hoping to play it again soon!

The funny thing is I already play this game, started playing it very early on but ive been neglecting it for a while now x'D I did not expect to see DF play it holy moly-

This game has so much potential.
If this wasn't a mobile game this would have been a great RTS game
I played this game way before. It's ok that's in mobile, the main problem is that it has TONS of BUGS (not actual insects zzz. ) Sometimes it just really won't save progress and loose quite a LOT of my time. Eventually i just deleted it
@@charliedelapaz2696 I didn't had that problem. I reached end game and clashing with 100 solider ants and a mantis mirror on both sides amount to nothing. Way to balanced it equal no matter what you build. And if you meet ptw player you automatically lose because of 1 stat difference. Ranged ants and ability to micro will make this game awesome.
there is a way better game that's exactly like this, it's called empires of the undergrowth and it's pretty much what you said that you want, you can play it but it has been in development hell for awhile now

DF, you realize that you didn't need to restart... You just didn't have anyone set to gather leaves, you had them set to make leaves into mushrooms. So they were likely just wandering around waiting for you to assign them some viable task...

Yeah that's what I thought too the ants might be above ground.
Reminds me a bit of SimAnt from the mid 90s. Though that did try to simulate behaviors and colonies a bit more, and had a conquest mode where you could take over the back yard then invade the human's house. I found out by accident that you could posses the spider in that game, and would use it to impair the red colony early on to help me build up.

i remember that game! i struggled with trying to keep my colony running smoothly but i haven't played it years, i think i'd be much better now
I would just possess a soldier and kamikaze the Queen of enemy colonies lol
You can also be the queen. Also very bottom of your colony if u get that far down.. there are lil holes to red base!
I loved SimAnt, one of the first games I remember playing. BUT YOU COULD POSSESS THE SPIDER!?

DF always sounds simultaneously relaxed, and about 3 seconds from killing everyone in sight
I've been wanting a SimAnt 2 for a long time now. This isn't quite the same, but I will still treasure it.
Edit: Actually, it's extremely similar. Crazily so, even down to the death animation. Like this was made by someone that absolutely loved SimAnt.
Imagine if as humans there were “human” sized creatures looking down on us “ants” that would be so unsettling

As you play the game a bit more, you get to see resin, place a rally flag for your soldier ants and gather the giant creatures and add them to your army...they will help you to fight during pvp...there are some rare bugs which only come during a special event in-game...
Ah it's good to see someone was inspired by Maxis (Sid Meier) and his SimAnt game.
It was amazing how complex that game was back in the day, and it's good to see that there's a spiritual successor of sorts.
I really like this game that you're playing and hope to see more of it! Keep up the good work!

Tbh that game is just a waste of time. I love the premise, but it's poorly implemented and everything takes ages...
@@Ulilopz agree it fun during campaign but after reaching endgame it's just not worth your time.
But I still want to see DF throwing a few hundred bucks to ruin other players.
I just started replaying this game after stopping for a few months so it's nice to see you making a video about it
Day 45 of recommending "The Perfect Tower 2", it’s a semi idle tower defense game with a lot of things to do! p.s. you get to kill a lot of cubes, and if u grind to late game...well i wont ruin the surprise

I was literally playing this game like 2 seconds ago, then I go check on one of my favorite TH-cam and I see him playing the same game! even though I haven't heard a word about this game on TH-cam
It's weird. I don't enjoy playing these games. But I can spend hours watching DF play them.

This reminds me of a old Warcraft III mod where you had a 6v6 and players were the army workers and Queen and one player was the spider
My strategy for dealing with conquering a player is to attack the ants that gather the nuts/ seeds then move to the leaves; once their numbers are thin out move to the colony and kill the queen.
This game is super interesting to watch keep on doing it, I beg you

Wasn't a bug. He set them all to do mushrooms but there were no leaves. They were all just wandering around unable to do anything. DF screwed up.

I am a zookeeper in chicago and I regularly feed the hippos day old sausages so they have a taste of their home. I put strings on the sausages and swing them around the hippos they get so mad at me and scream but it's an obsession sometimes the hippos try and break out of their cages but I keep swinging those hotdogs in wide circles over their heads. Luckily my boss doesn't know I do this or my coworke
