Thermoball ZipUp Boot: Overpriced and Underwhelming

This winter I was on the lookout for a good pair of warm hiking boots when I came across the Thermoball Zip Up Boots by The North Face. The Baffled down look quickly caught my attention and I knew I had to try them. They made a bigger impression when the fit was perfect for my wide feet as it's something I struggle with. They also claimed to be waterproof which was an added bonus. On my First winter Hike in Yosemite National Park it was a cold rainy day and ill sadly say these boots were a let down in terms of "waterproof". They did exceptionally well in the snow and kept my feet warm in cold temperatures. Anything with water such as puddles or rain once the water crosses the thermoball your feet are bound to get wet. I recommend you save your money and look elsewhere if you're looking on staying dry.

So I’m at the store about to buy these (literally sitting down watching your video, right now, with these boots on my feet) because I was wanting these particular boots for awhile now and I finally went out for them but now I’m deciding not to buy. I’m making my decision based off of your very informative video of these particular boots! I was originally going for these because they boast “waterproof” and that’s exactly what I need. When I hear “waterproof” I’m expecting the whole boot to be exactly that…waterproof!!!! After watching your video and hearing your very in-depth review… you just saved me from the eventual disappointment of having wet, cold feet!!! Now I’m not saying that this is a bad boot… just not what I was looking for!! Thanks for your awesome review brother!!! Keep hiking!!!
