Which tissues/Injuries are the most difficult to heal when it comes to the spine and why. Prof McGill explains. Book a virtual consult with Brian www.powerrackstrength.com/consult-brian-carroll/
I’ve been waiting for this segment! No matter how many times Doc answers a question, I always learn something new. Thank you for sharing the wisdom Brian and Professor!!!
Hey Brian, I appreciate your work. Have you had any experience with wrestlers and low back pain? The stance in freestyle wrestling is already a heavy load on the lower back, not to mention the takedowns, etc so do you know anyone who got back to wrestling after a classic l4/l5 bulge/herniation and whats the best approach for them? Keep the quality content going!
Yes I have. The best approach is to heal, then rebuild and then try back to wrestling. I've worked with many in BJJ, MMA etc. I can't give you a roadmap but I can try to help with a consult:www.powerrackstrength.com/consult-brian-carroll/
Hi Brian, What means when professor said about after joint instabilility facets 2,3 years later wound up? If doing proper spine higiene and Big 3 only with bodyweight push ups, pull ups and lunges - is it impossible to facets wound up in future?
It’s hard to say for each individual since back pain is multi-factorial. I’d have to spend more time with you and see what your triggers are. Check out this FAQ page to see if a virtual consultation may be good for you! www.powerrackstrength.com/virtual-consultation-faq/
That's what the proffesor said..... Kind of saddening? I even thought you could eliminate the pain but it doesn't seem to be the case according to what I heard now?
Hey Brian I have a slight broad based bulge at L4/L5 thankfully I’m not in too much pain to the point where I can’t walk or anything like that. But it’s just irritating here and there through out the day. Would swimming and walking be effective in helping me recover? Could I send u a picture of my x ray images and report?
Hello, I have to do a consult with you along with viewing your images to understand what is appropriate and what may not be. MRI is best, also. You have to remove the cause of pain -- www.powerrackstrength.com/consult-brian-carroll/

Hence disk hernia + facet arthritis has no way of healing. Only thing you can do is manage pain…
not true
@@BrianCarroll1306that's what Dr. McGill said, the sole concept of "healing tissue" is nonsense in facet join arthropathy
