Hi Phil loved the last part about the energy level and the mixed in key app. I just use mixed in key for the reason it types the word - energy in comments field- then i change the number to a 1-thru 5 like you told me years ago ! Works great and i do find myself altering those numbers every now and then. Good stuff ❤

Reviewing a product without having it plugged in is a big no-no IMO. Having said that, as a Traktor Kontrol X1 Mk1 lover I'm actually seriously interested in this,. Although now it has the much-appreciated onboard mixer controls a built-in audio interface would have made a lot of sense and made this the ideal low-footprint house party setup
What is missing that you need to know? It's a Midi controller, we all know what they do, and as I said in the video, the NI talkthrough is amazing, we have better things to do than remake their video, candidly.
@@digitaldjtips "NI can show it better and we have better things to do" is just a lame excuse for laziness. If you're reviewing a product then you demonstrate its specific features and you give your judgment on how useful they are for DJs. That especially goes when a product has an update that adds a lot of visual improvements for DJs like screens and multicolor LED indicators. What's the point of watching reviews on this channel anyway if you're not showing what the product is about?
Point in case here: Other reviewers have criticized the info shown on the X1 Mk3 screens and think that NI could make better use of it. It's exactly this kind of info you need to demonstrate to your audience otherwise your review is simply not a review and basically useless.
And mind you, reviews on this channel aren't all that great to begin with because you're not thoroughly testing equipment in a club environment like Mojaxx does, if at all. I consider them more as first impressions, done by someone who is probably more of a DJ enthusiast than a real DJ. If you want Digital DJ Tips to really be a reliable NO 1 source for all things DJing then I suggest you start with upping the quality of your reviews. And that begins with upping your review methods and being transparent about them. This industry could really borrow a page from some tech blogs in that regard.

The Reloop Mixtour is more efficient than this controller, although it does have a sound card built it in, its volume output is weak compared to the Kontrol Z1. Also, for the same price Pioneer has the DDJFlx4 2 reck controller, along with a better software option w Rekordbox, cloud saves etc. Thank you for the review! You guys always do great work. Oh, and I think that the touch strip on the mk2 comes in handy for multiple reasons.

I actually have the MIXTOUR RELOOP and according to my usage two things are missing : the beatjump knobs and the pitch faders. These are the only things that make me consider switching for the Traktor X1 MK3.
Does it require power or I can run it from usb or even a samsung tablet ?
It runs from USB with a power option should your device be unable to supply sufficient power that way
So I need an additional mixer to use the x1 ?
Depends how you want to use it. But usually DJs will indeed use alongside extra equipment, typically a digital mixer would be part of such a set-up.
Faderfox dj-3 y 4 has same features since years...I use it for many years, is the maximum portability to control 4 decks and effects on traktor

By using the mixer's audio interface, and Midi/HID to the CDJs.

It can be mapped to that software for sure.
Can I use it with record box ?
You could almost certainly map it to Rekordbox.
It's likely we will see an F1 replacement when they introduce Live Stems

Its too expensive, i wish the mark 1 was still available. I used it for many years and it was really worth the money at half the price of the new one.

They decided not enough people use it, and removed it
with the touchstrip we were able to navigate through the song, selecting where to start the song or set a cue point. Now if i am not wrong the only way yo do it is with beatjump and by using the + - buttons but this process is much slower. @@digitaldjtips
I've bought and installed several NI products. But installing this has been a real pain.
Hope you figure it out.
Real shame not to see it being used, and see the lighting features.
As I said, take a look at the NI walkthrough video - they demo it really well in that.

I still cant believe they didnt add a ahift function to control decks c and d, NI said you will need 2 controllers for 4 decks. You can map it but lose functions doing that.
Probably thought it would all get a bit fiddly. Many DJs buy two for that purpose.
I try to buy it but said “Sold out” at £85 as an member of NI. But rrp £250. So I have to wait til they are back in stock 🙄

@@digitaldjtips Another question, slightly off topic. Setting up my Traktor pro 3 via MacBook connects to CDJ 2000 & 3000s djm900mk2. Getting deck A & B playing same channel. Do you have a link of the tip of connection. Nothing seems to work!
@@DjJeffo78Are you trying to set up HID mode? Just search "setting up CDJ 3000 hid mode in Traktor Pro 3" and you'll find plenty of video tutorials.

I will buy it just to have a extra equipment but in my opinion the allen and heath k2 is a better option tbh.. I been using Traktor since 2011 and over the years people not even using Native instruments equipment anymore, 4 years ago I bought the allen and heath k2 trust me it is worth it.. the traktor software for me is fine but for the competition is lacking in a lot of stuff Native instruments needs to step up their game.
We also love the K2!
Who seriously cares of live stems!!! Cmon live stems are for hobby home DJs! And you know it… If we are serious about stems we should pre prepare with RipX…
Indeed, we love (and teach - indeed, partner with) RipX. It is not for everyone though.

Again with flexible beat grid? Cmon you teach to DJ in every way possible! We don’t need flexible beat grid. We need Traktor to have a proper Retina display interface and daylight mode…

Isotope RX10’s stem separation is surprisingly worse than virtual dj’s live stem separation. Hopefully they use the latest demucs model or something similar in a future iteration of RX and Traktor.

fuck that ,how can they create a MK3 without a own headphone plug in the MK3 device, you got no main output if you plug in your headphones, german engineering in 2024
