Grace alone is what saves, it is His decision. Let's give the Lord credit for being able to evaluate each person's heart. But when people practice eisegesis and dig out pet verses to make arguments of debate, it shows a lack of simply knowing Jesus personally.

Then I guess if He decides who goes to heaven and most will go to hell then I guess you're predestined for hell then right? How do you know you're actually saved?

@@aservant2287 You know you are saved when you admit to God you are a sinner that deserves damnation, but asks for His Grace and Mercy, and you change your direction to follow Him, to know Him and have Him lead you by His sure WORD. You are saved by a Person, and that Person desires to know you intimately as a friend. The ONLY REASON anyone goes to hell, is because they did not want to be in a relationship with this Person Who created them and loves them. Nobody is predestined. You choose.

@ApatiEktetheimenos right, what will happen to people that tell people that jews and gentile are different from people in the kingdom of God and telling people not worry about living a loose lifestyle because yiu can't lose your salvation? Simple fact is you condone sin willing or unwilling because you don't read all of scripture

John is actually a Hebrew name though, spelled in the Old Testament as Jehohanan.

John on its own is gentile. Jehohanan is Hebrew. John and and Jehohanan, even though they are similar, are two different names.

@@ryoji7 John isn’t a Hebrew name, it has Hebrew origins but by itself isn’t Hebrew. The origin doesn’t make it itself Hebrew. John is a very common name in English language.
These types of arguments also enables arguments that try to contradict the English KJV text by running to the Greek and Hebrew that’s why it’s bothersome to read.

Yes, you can lose salvation. Repentance, turning away from sin, changing your mind about sin and walking away from it is part of the deal. If you still cling to sin you are not saved, you're slapping Jesus in the face and going about your sinful ways. You're saying yes I'd like salvation, but I don't like YOUR way Lord, I love my sin too, so I'm going to do it. You are turning your face from the Lord, and when you are judged, he will turn his face from you and only you will carry the burden of that sin. Possibly eternally.

Sure, you might be slapping Jesus in the faith, but it's a good thing he's more faithful than we are. And patient, and loving. The best Christian who ever lived sinned. If you think your sinless you don't read your bible.

@@LastCall777 Nobody is sinless, I did not imply that any human CAN be sinless. Only Christ is sinless. What I'm saying is that in our imperfection we STILL must turn from sin and endeavor to walk with Christ. If you don't and just accept that you will sin without changing your mind about it or trying to stop, you aren't accepting Jesus, you're arguing that sin is ok and he needs to accept that fact that you are going to keep right on willfully sinning even though he detests sin. You're disrespectfully telling the Lord to "just get over it and save me anyway". Not a good look at all.
I'm pretty sure slapping God in the face like that isn't going to earn a spot for you in Heaven to say the very least.

@@LastCall777 But you still HAVE to turn from sin and TRY to avoid it. (that's what repentance is).
Bottom line is, it's NOT ok to just keep right on sinning knowing it's wrong and thinking it's fine because of 'once saved always saved'. Do that and you'll regret it.

@@WatcherNine Repentance does indeed mean "to turn from", but it does not necessarily mean to turn specifically from sin. After all, God himself repents and God does not sin (Gen 6:6, Exodus 32:14). When you repent and turn to Jesus you are repenting from your unbelief to your belief. Should you repent from your sins, yes, and as the Holy Ghost teaches you SHOULD strive to sin less and less. If you get saved and have no desire to stop sinning I might question if the salvation was legit but if they repented from their unbelief to belief on the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ then they are saved. Period.

@LastCall777 1 john 2:4 anyone who says they know Me and doesn't keep My commandments is a liar and the truth is not in them. To not to believe in our ignorance is one thing but to live sin one can't continue in sin and still be saved. You're delusional if you think that you can do whatever you want and remain uncommitted in God and still make heaven. One can willfully walk away from God after starting out great. For it would've been better not to have known the way of truth and to turn away from God for it's like the true proverb the dog has turned to his vomit again 2 peter 2:20-22. Hebrews 6:4-6 impossible to renew them again because they crucified the Lord to an open shame. These are just few scripture proving You're cherry picking scripture and say that there's a difference between a gentile and a jew or church of God is hogwash. There's neither jew or gentile if they are both saved they one in Christ. Anybody can make a video but realize that you'll be held accountable for condoning a loose lifestyle saying one can't lose their salvation by OSAS.

@LastCall777 to rightly divide the word doesn't mean divide a time period, it means to really to do a research on the context of scripture. That rightly dividing the time period is made up from guys who say Hebrews is only written for the jews in the tribulation period while 1 timoty 3:16 all scripture is given for correction and reproof ( to all people) for sound doctrine. You say say Hebrews isn't written to the Christian but I just provide scripture proving you wrong. James was written for all Christians you say just the jew. You're in a cult that says that God's word is not for all people while the Bible teaches that Christ died for all men equally and His word is a training tool for all Christian at any given time. It's called dispensationalism. God acts differently with people in different times and there is a time where those of us in Christ will be taken up out of the way and when that happens there will be Jew and Gentile again. That's what the passage is speaking about. The entire nation of Israel (those who survive the tribulation, at least, 1/3 of the population) will be saved in a day.
