You need to use some flushing oil, to fully get rid of the engine flush or the remenants will stay in the oil pan bottom ,not good for the new oil . Instead if using the flush, early oil change intervals could be way better. Like 4-5000 kms. I opened my engine up due to the gear teeth breaking to overhaul the gear box at 47000 kms and the Enfield mechanics were amazed to see the lack of carbon bhild up even after this long a run. The stock oil is cost effective for this type of early interval plans. Wont say it's the best way, but it did work to keep the internals clean.
The royal Enfield service centers connect thr diagnostic tool that helps bleed the full system using the abs motor. Do try that once, the change in pedal feel is just different.
@@cooolben5 it's actually how we are supposed to do it. Is what I was told. But techs are always looking to get away with a bit less work as most folks had been used to servicing non abs bikes. The line too will hold old brake fluid, people won't be able to get that out with this method is what I was told. Anyways everytime the pads are inspected or the clippers are cleaned I just get them to use the machine to put in in the bleeder mode. You can instantly feel the pulsing when the motor gets going. It'll tell when to pump brakes ,when to hold and when to loosen the bleeder valve and close it.
If i am not wrong , we should not be revving the engine while flush is there as it reducing its lubricating property leading to wear and tear . BTW nice video as always

Yes that makes the process a lot quicker and reduces the labour charge when getting the motorcycle serviced. hehehe Yes manual calls for DOT4 however they told me that this is kinda better than DOT4 and then I read about the two fluids. While it is true that DOT5.1 is used for machines operating at a much higher temperature, however I settled for the fact that DOT 5.1 lasts much longer and provides a better heat resistance. Because it is India. We operate at a much higher temperature as is. haha Further researching I found out that both DOT4 & DOT5.1 are glycol-based brake fluids and that they are compatible with each other, which means they can be readily mixed without harming your brake system. Key point to remember is never to mistake DOT 5.1 (glycol-based) with DOT 5 which is silicone-based and should never be mixed with any other DOT fluid.
If your bike's age is less than 3 years, you can change your bend pipes under warranty. I got it changed under warranty. Same rusting issue was there. 😊 This may help someone.
3.5L or 3.1L isn't 3.5 L little over fill ?? for Inti ?? any issues faced or no issue ( this 3.5 is easy to measure and fill as we can buy 4 bottles and use 500 ml as fill )
Correct, it is recommended that we add 3.1L however, these guys have recommended adding a little bit extra. We have always put 3.5L. And there have been no issues. And after you ride for a couple of kms, the oil levels get as per the service booklet.

Annual "service" does not include checking/cleaning of brake pads, checking/replacing coolant, cleaning-adjusting-lubing drive chain, checking spark plug gap , checking wheel bearings etc?? This is merely vehicle rinse, engine-brake oil replacement under the name of "annual service".

@@SrinivasGanesh Yes it could be the speedo itself. Watched a few videos on youtube with similar issues in India and UK. The speedo wire seems to be the issue. Will update as soon as the service advisor calls back. The warranty process is a little time consuming 🥲. Day 2 of missing my Interceptor.
Hey, same problem with my GT with almost similar kms on the odo. During startup it does a full swipe up, but the speedometer is not functional and it behaves weirdly, mostly showing 0kmph but suddenly jumps to around 40/60 with aggressive acceleration and again back to 0.

RE manual is right, however, there is no harm in using DOT 5.1 too. Only difference is DOT 5.1 has more heat resistance (boiling point) as compared to DOT 4. Other than that, they are both glycol based brake fluids and are compatible with each other. But, both should never be mixed with DOT 5 as that is a silicone based.
You mean how long has it been since I changed the oil? Well this was done somewhere around 18th September and since then I have ridden it about 500kms. Before changing the oil I had clocked in about 8000 kms and a year had passed too. So it was due.
Alternate service. However advantage is that it cleans the engine quite efficiently from the inside and helps drain a lot quicker. Helps curb the labour cost. 🫱🏽🫲🏾

Thank you Paul. 🙏🏽 The splash of brake fluid was cleaned immediately. DOT 4 and 5.1 are both glycol-based brake fluids they are compatible with each other, which means they can be readily mixed without harming your brake system. :) The main difference is DOT 5.1 has a higher boiling point than DOT 4. Yes no need to use oil flush, that was used to make the work flow faster so that I don't incur a lot of labour work. And this power washer was not a really intense one. So all under control.

@@SrinivasGanesh I was waiting for that part because I have new int650 but it’s gear shifting not as smooth as the one I took for the test ride. I even told that on first service but doesn’t seem that they checked it.
Your method for bleeding the brakes is not sufficient for brakes with ABS. It does not flush out the old fluid trapped in the ABS modulator. Next time ABS is activated, old fluid will mix with the new that you have just put in.
I sort of agree with you. However the Continental GT 650 has a cafe racer characteristics to it. The interceptor, I feel has not character of its own. It is upto the rider to make the bike asper him/ her. Which is what makes this bike very very personal. :)
@SrinivasGanesh man I'm just confused should I go for the interceptor 650 or wait for the newer 2025 model I usually commute about 50kms per day so will I atleast get 20kmpl mileage and a little toleratable commuting nuisances (heating issue, suspension, weight) and in my commuting there is hyderabads traffic, So should I go for the interceptor or wait for the 2025 model (and when is the launch of 2025 model expected)

Chain and clutch sag. Get em verified and in spec. You shouldn't have clunky shifts

Once in two years. And it is a personal preference, thin would be too soft, thicker oil would make it quite stiff.

Which Chain lube are you using?
Putoline Tech Chain and Dry Tech. I use both. Tech Chain on himalayan and Dry tech on Interceptor

The splash of brake fluid was cleaned immediately.
DOT 4 and 5.1 are both glycol-based brake fluids they are compatible with each other, which means they can be readily mixed without harming your brake system. :) The main difference is DOT 5.1 has a higher boiling point than DOT 4.
Yes no need to use oil flush, that was used to make the work flow faster so that I don't incur a lot of labour work.
And this power washer was not a really intense one. So all under control.

@@SrinivasGanesh I was waiting for that part because I have new int650 but it’s gear shifting not as smooth as the one I took for the test ride. I even told that on first service but doesn’t seem that they checked it.
Your method for bleeding the brakes is not sufficient for brakes with ABS. It does not flush out the old fluid trapped in the ABS modulator. Next time ABS is activated, old fluid will mix with the new that you have just put in.

in my opinion, the INT650 (this bike) is far more superior and better looking
I sort of agree with you. However the Continental GT 650 has a cafe racer characteristics to it. The interceptor, I feel has not character of its own. It is upto the rider to make the bike asper him/ her. Which is what makes this bike very very personal. :)

I usually commute about 50kms per day so will I atleast get 20kmpl mileage and a little toleratable commuting nuisances (heating issue, suspension, weight) and in my commuting there is hyderabads traffic, So should I go for the interceptor or wait for the 2025 model (and when is the launch of 2025 model expected)
