FFT is one of my fav FF game and I just got to this raid last night. Was too busy being excited and weeping to focus on anything in this raid. I died like 10 times 😂
I never understood why when he pulls out the rifle and it says "Mustadio seeks a gap in your defenses!" - you have to turn your character to show him what looks like the one small gap in your defenses, assuming thats what the ring around you is? He seeks a gap in your defenses, you give it to him, and thats how you survive.
My unpopular opinion is that Nier had no place in FFXIV raid, now I like how it was done and music is amazing. I was really looking forward to the next FF raid series, til I heard it had nothing to do with FF. I would've rather had an event or even a PotD like content, Shadowbringers was good but it wasn't at the same time. Stormblood is by far my favorite and most loved time in XIV and I don't see Endwalker changing that so far.
Well with Endwalker, we do know that the 24man will be an original story based around The Twelve (finally some more lore on them). The NieR raid itself I feel was more for fan service (never really explained how something from a different planet entirely ends up on a Shard of the Source) that explains specific lore of the NieR/Drakengard games (such as who N2/Red Girl is, the Seeds also being a dimension hopping thing, etc).
@@Nesaru I like to believe the theory that our world shifts or moves in a way that dimensions collide in unique ways from Noctis, to the girl from ff11, to the rathalos, hell even lightning showing up. As the realms shifts we get people who accidentally slip into our world or objects that end up here that should not be here. That includes Yoshi-p himself as he exist on a different dimensional plain. Which is so cool honeslty
It's FFXIV stuff. The Ivalice in FFXIV is also not the same Ivalice as the one in FFT (and FFXII). This applies to the characters, too. I think Mustadio (and Agrias) became Lucavi, or something similar to them.
@@Nesaru Mustadio, Agrias, and Cidolfus used purified Auracyte to basically obtain Lucavi forms while maintaining their identities so that they can guard the tomb of Ultima until the reincarnation of Ramza and crew show up. Also, what a Lucavi is has been altered significantly to fit the FFXIV world, as well as what Ultima is. You can safely consider it an alternate universe.
So, if you played through Heavensward, you meet someone that becomes an eikon, but remains who they are. By using purified Auracyte and their own Blessing of Light, Mustadio, Agrias, and Cid did the same thing to maintain Ultima's sealed tomb until Ramza's could be found and returned, and Ultima beaten for good.

10 month later here to say I enjoyed it, it was fun but weird that its cannon to Nier now lol
